This patch was created to add the HD skins that came bundled with the new re-release of American McGee's Alice. I figured since many people who have played this mod had an original copy of Alice and would love to have the new HD skins without having to buy the game again. So here you are. Also, I sharpened these HD textures even more to make them look better then they originally did. Enjoy.

I use the Heavy Metal FAKK tools to convert the FTX pics to bitmap for editing. And then you have to convert them back to FTX with the FAKK tools. You'll also need some kind of PAK file editor to get to the textures. I use PK4Scape to edit and create PAK files.

I don't understand what files I'm supposed to be overwriting. I mean pak3.pk3 is over 90 mb but your z_madlyenhanced_3.pk3 is only 64kb. So it doesn't make sense to me to overwrite that.

At current I've just put the files in the Base folder with their names unchanged. Haven't run the game yet so no idea if they'll effect it... But, yeah. Poor instructions regardless. =___=

Dude it's very simple. When you put the z_madlyenhanced_3.pk3 into the base folder, did it ask if you wanted to overwrite pak3.pk3? No it didn't. That means that you don't need to overwrite that file. When I said that you need to overwrite whatever file it asks you about that was meant for people that have been using a previous patch file or have only been using the original version 1 pak files. So when you download the next patch that I release you're gonna drop all the .pak files that are in that new patch into your base folder and then you'll have something to overwrite. Quit adding steps. I never said that you needed to rename anything. Read better and pay closer attention. Notice that you are the only one having this problem.

Everything needs bloom. It makes light have that soft glow to it. In a game like this it would look great. Some HDR would be good too.

I'm not a modeller or a skinner so no. I only have the ability to do some programming, edit textures and skins, and mess around with particle effects. Sorry. If they had ever released the SDK for this game I would definitely look into adding new age graphics enhancements like Bloom or normal mapping. I don't think that's gonna happen.
