We've also got a new team member that can skin. He has shown us examples of high quality textures compared to the original HL2 ones (Not displayed in this picture).

The game looks incredible but I'd like to see more screenshots/content based on other things besides just the maps. Like what other guns will be in the game? What about enemy's? Still from the looks of the screenshots it looks incredible.
I don't mind Hl2 weapons and textures. The only thing I do mind is the hand and arm texture.
He will change how most of the weapons look and as for hands it is a little more complicated but I am sure he can do it if it was high priority.

Whenever I see so much HL2 stock content, I stop taking a horror mod seriously. Please replace textures.
I couldn't agree more.. when I see screens showing HL2 models and textures, I just skip the mod.
Guys seriesly.
You cant expect every mod creator to have the
UBER knowlege or expiriance to create awesome mods.
People sometimes need time to rise and become better and you
cant except the best of them and manage to create perfect mods.
Innovative ideas,really good level design and gameplay that is original
are all butchered by the difficultly of executing em.
Let me start with you Defatcat (funny name btw)
Creating textures new doors etc. are hard to make and even work on.
Sure he uses stock texture but this is his first mod.You cant except
him to have everything that it takes to create a Total conversions or
even a regural mod.And also even if it has an Suspenfull and good story
Innovating and creative ideas,awesome atmospfere and original gameplay
when it comes out but if it uses textures and mappign that reflect
those of half life 2 your gona be ''turned off'' by this mod.
Constructive critisism is better on someone that has the expiriance
and not to someone that has barely started making mods.If you know how
hard is it to create mods you would be more carefull of what you say.
I really appreciate your response LegendaryMan and while most of what you said is true. I do indeed have the tools for custom textures, and custom textures are in the mod, although clearly not shown in the screenshots. The mod will soon have a reasonable size update coming and I will be sure to show screenshots with custom textures in them. Also, even though this is my first mod submitted to Moddb, I have been working with Source for multiple years now. I have also mapped for GoldSource before it came out-dated.
