Alpha Project is a Battlefield 2 modification which goals are to bring back all the features that were left out in the retail game. The gameplay style of the mod is a mixture of arcade and realism.
This major update showing our new customization system, weapons, vehicles and maps we have worked on hard to be featured in alpha project. Be aware that most of the shown stuff is work in progress and not final.

Starting up, some time passed since the last "real" modupdate and here we go, this update mostly contain work in progress stuff so please be patient with it :)
Customization & Weapons
First i am realy pleased to finally show our own customization system weve been working for some time now, which would have never been realisable without the help of our python coder and menu editor Hjid, i want to say a big thanks for the hard work that went into this groundbreaking system for weaponcustomization and the menu for it!
We prepared a video for you guys which clearly shows how it works and most of the weapons, attachments and sight possibilities not to forget the ability to choose between default and camo skin.
Here i wana thank BadSanta12345 for all the different weapon versions and sights aswell the 3d scope shader system he invented for us
Also be aware that the video footage is work in progress i cant say that often enough ;)
Vehicles & Armament
Also i dont want to hold back the various vehicle updates and additions on you, attack helicopters will feature lockon air to air missiles to defend themself against enemy jets in the next version but thats not everything, we finaly have a prototype in the works for laser guided bombs, its still very early but works as supposed already.
Next id like to thank Guedoe and the USI team to allow us to use their ah6a littlebird and sa342 gazelle. To fit them into our mod i replaced the original camo of the gazelle with a mec themed one as you can see in the following screenshots.
But there is more, we also got a uh1-y venom under construction as you might have already seen in the screenshot section, the textures and uvmap is still work in progress but you can see already how it will look when done, it will feature heavy browning gunner positions on each side and there might be attack versions with hydrapods or miniguns leading into flightdirection.
Finally i came around to continue work on the original kubra dam map conversion from the alpha build, work is coming along nicely and i hope i can finish it for the next release, i also started on some non alpha stage focused maps with a bit of new fresh environment for the change as a jungle/forest style map with new treemodels, thanks to CoronaExtra for those and another map with a fallout/dry landscape theme playing in the abandoned ukraine city pripyat which was hit hard by the nuclear accident back in 1986.
I dont have lots of screenshots for that work as of yet, however i can already show you some editor scenes of some of those maps.
As you could see in the customization video we also consider to start on the pla faction at a later point, as its now the map the video was recorded eastern showdown was only choosen because it most likley will be the first custom pla map which might be included to the mod at a later stage.
