i dont use desura, but since desura auto installs it, releasing it at desura devs wont get as frequently this:

Desura is basically MODDB, you download the mod and then it installs for you and you just need to click play, its just more convenient.

Hmm lol this is why i like Desura better, how do i install it using Steam? i cant seem to locate my Steamapps folder...

You don't install mods on Steam. Download the files to the mod folder in BF2 and locate the .exe in your browsing for non-Steam games option in the library page, add it to the list of games, and it should launch from there. Or just launch BF2, go to community - click activate on the mod.
Can somebody help me download? not so mod savvy. I placed the Alpha file into BF2/mods. Now what?
If you dont have Steam i can, just download the mod when you get it drag the alpha project file into your battlefield 2 Mods folder, then apparently edit the short to your installation guide, that i dont know since ive never had a mod do that.
If that dont work someone els needs to help you, this is one of the more confusing downloads... reminds me of maps for empire earth lol.

Maybe a Bug.
I started the game but the first thing is...the game wouldnt start in widescreen mode and the hole writing is at the wrong place.
Second : at the first map that i played the ground looks like water (or something else).
Please fix it or give me some help.
ahh yes dont use the default shortcut or change it to fullscreen 1 in the properties, accidentely left fullscreen 0 by deafault, the other problem is not alpha project related you should update your videocard drivers since noone had that problem before
