Alien Element mod for Half-Life 2

Alien Element is a Half Life 2 mod based in the years 2012-2030. It will be half realism - half sci-fi, and will combine some pretty damn nifty features. Not much can be said right now as we are still planning it out, but some of the planned features include a new gore system, in game web browser, and maps which have smaller maps in them for 1v1 or 2v2 play without all the boring searching for the enemy (this feature could also be used for tournaments).

The Multiplayer apect of the game is planned to be slightly similar to counter-strike however since many people are bored when they die, we will be adding a place where you go when you die just to hang out and have fun while everyone else is killing eachother, isn't that nice?

The single player takes place in 2012 when aliens land on earth to "challenge" earth to a tournament (this is no ordinary tournament, fights take place wherever two or more opponents meet and the battleground is the entire planet). The rulers of the known (and unknown since no-one has challenged them) universe have declared that the winning planet will be the next rulers, so of course everyone is eager to win, except for the people of earth who apparently didnt get the memo. The rulers of earth dont know what the aliens are talking about and would much rather surrender than be obliterated however, the aliens will only accept surrender from the elemental representatives. There are 14 elements of the alien world, the representatives are chosen at random and brought to the alien ship, which has landed in canada. When they are asked to surrender 13 of them comply the 14th says no and so the tournament begins...
