AirFightUT is the first and most extensive vehicle combat TC for Unreal Tournament. This modification introduces modern combat vehicles into the UT game, vehicles which try to mirror their real life military counterparts (vehicle models and weapons). Our large roster of vehicles includes the F-15, F-16, Su-27, MiG-29, Tornado, JAS-39, M1, T-80, AH-64 Apache, and more...

The latest alpha patch for AirFightUT is now available. You can get it at the BeyondUnreal forums...a new AirRace map is also available in the thread.
Significant changes since the last alpha...
*F-15E Strike Eagle carried four LGBs in previous versions, now it carries six (air-air armament unchanged).
*Heavy Strike variant of the Tornado has "swinging pylons", since the R-550 AAMs have been moved to the wings.
*LGBs on the Naval Strike variant of the Tornado have been replaced by 500 pound dumb bombs.
*Lots of tweaking for flight dynamics. Stall speeds have been decreased for ALL aircraft, so they can take off quicker on maps with runways. This measure was taken because certain maps (released and unreleased) have unusually short runways that cause lots of bot deaths. Mid-air spawning is unaffected.
*Mr. Mitchell's AF server pages added.
*Significant AirRace improvements, including better bot AI and scoring.
*Netcode improved/tweaked. Despite this, a few serious netcode bugs persist, namely in Air Defense, AirRace, and turret movement.

Right now the damage system is based off of regular hitpoints - lose all of your HPs and you go into an uncontrollable spin...
System damage sounds like a good idea for AF4, since UT2k3 has better collision detection.
There're a few funny things which I noticed... you can "land" on some weird places when you're piloting an aircraft... you've to reduce the speed, so the plane will slowly fall... and then??? Hehehe :D You can take off the sea :P
By the way... have you done a work upon the damage system? I've noticed sometimes you usually lose the control of the aircraft after a few shots... but is there something that can damage your systems? Maybe the target system... the engines, I don't know... It'd be nice :D Or even some weapons (you wouldn't be able to fire some of them)...
If you're having a hard time with the missiles, try using countermeasures (hold down "C")...those usually hold missiles off long enough for evasive manuvers.
Let me guess...helicopter control driving you nuts?
