I really like your work and this mod. Is there any way to get involved or help? I can't offer much so far as any technical or sound experience but I can write and offer much in story and history related to steam and WW1 style culture. =D
Hi, can't get the mod to work. I extracted the .rar to the UT3 root (in my case C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\unreal tournament 3).
I then added a non-steam game shortcut to the ut3.exe, and changed the target to
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\unreal tournament 3\Binaries\UT3.exe" menu?game=Airborn.Airborn -windowed -resx=1280 -resy=720 -log -ConsolePosX=0 -ConsolePosY=0 -useunpublished -nohomedir -mod=..\Airborn -log
I then run the shortcut, get a console showing up which does a load of stuff, the splash screen shows up, then I get a message:
The map specified on the commandline 'DM-000' could not be found. Would you like to load the default map instead?
If I click ok, it just takes me to the main menu of UT3. If I click cancel, it takes me to UT3 which then crashes.
Is my shortcut correct? Also I'm using steam UT3 on win7 pro 64-bit.
Oops, ignore that. I extracted it yesterday and had to do a system restore today, which stopped it working. Just deleted the old folder and extracted it again and it worked! Looking good so far!
I'm new to Unreal 3 Mods, so how do I install it? Like what folder do I put it in? I am using the Steam version.
put it where ut3 is located in your steam folder and then follow the readme
Alright, I got it set up, and I can launch it and get to the main title screen but the console window says something like "ScriptWarning: AirbornCamer Menu.TheWorld:PersistentLevel.AirbornCamera_0" and when I press new game, it gives a bunch of missing shader messages.
it creates shadercaches, just wait till its done :)
Awesome it worked! Beat the beta, great work! Can't wait to see more! It also gave me a reason to bust out my gamepad because it works great with it! It reminded me a lot of Zelda, and that is a complement.
Just to let you know, your mod is the only reason I bought UT3, so thanks!
we have to thank you, and i guess epic does too, buying ut for a mod that has like well, optimistically 5minutes of gameplay :)
we know that, thats beeing worked on, its pretty tricky as the jump is not one anim but 4 different anims, and we are not wuite sure where that heavy break beween the upwards motion and the downwards loop comes from
