I'm curious. Given all these awesome bits of lore with each screenshot, what is your take on the Franklin given the inconsistencies present in ST: Beyond? (Just curious, I think its cool that it got included)

Personally I'm content with the newer films being reboots and therefore not having any bearing on the prime univese, so honestly it doesn't bother me - the same rules don't apply.

That says, strictly speaking of the design of the Franklin I was a big fan of it from the first time I saw it in the leadup to Beyond. There were one or two nit-picky things about it I would have changed (opinions which, fortunately, our modelers seem to have agreed with) but overall I really liked its look.

I'll see if I can get it a bit closer in a future screenshot. ;)

Looks like you guys are either setting the lore of the mod, or getting near to release. I hope I am not wrong in both regards!

Just setting the lore at the moment. Release is a ways off, but the mod is progressing at a solid pace.

Description

Starfleet drives the Romulans from Denobula.

With Earth and Andoria secure, Starfleet's eyes turned to Denobula. The Romulans had twice used the planet as a jumping point to attack Coalition homeworlds - a strategic foothold that had to be removed. And, of course, the people of Denobula had lived under Romulan control for long enough.

Commodore Archer gathered a fleet to liberate the planet, combining his own task force with a number of other Starfleet detachments - eighteen starships in all, including the famed 'Night Witches'. Though he had every confidence that Starfleet would be able to succeed, Archer's greatest fear was that the Romulans would attack the planet surface in reprisal. After all, the Romulans had displayed nothing but brutality and ruthlessness in the conflict thus far. Nevertheless, the risk had to be taken.

The Starfleet battlegroup entered the Denobula Triaxa system in force, and were immediately surprised at what they found. First, the vast majority of Denobulan orbital infrustructure had already been destroyed, apparently self-destructed by the Romulans themselves. Second, only a comparative handful of Romulan warships remained in the system, most of them seemingly of older design, left behind to delay Starfleet's advance.

The Romulans fought ferociously, as one would expect. Nevertheless, it was an easy victory for Starfleet - all Romulan warships in the system were either destroyed, or self-destructed before they could be captured.

What's more, Archer's fears went unfulfilled. The Romulans, though they had ample opportunity to do so, never made any attempt to attack the planet. Perhaps this act of restraint hinted at a Romulan sense of honour, or conscience?

Regardless, the important thing, for now, was that Denobula was free and safe. Celebrations broke out across the planet, and Starfleet were welcomed as heroes.
