I need this, vos it always ctd. Ive downloaded it and installed it, it does nothing...i mean after install what is it meant to do? just seems to create an icon and nothing else!
ok ive installed this and ive got the game working now. but its really laggy. like in slow motion or something. any sugestions to what i can do?
it never used to be this laggy when i had the ubisoft exclusive version
Swiftshader is designed for Intel graphics. If you do not have Intel graphics built into your motherboard it will disable your video card and make the game run very slowly. But also, the Intel video is pretty slow too.
I'm using an intel onboard and the game crashes often will this fix it? can I uninstall it later if it doesn't work?
"Fix" is a large word; this will allow the game to run, but it makes it run on software rendering, so the performance won't be good. There is an un-install batch file included that shows up in your main game folder after installation.
Hey, I just got this game. I tried to start it up and i got to the main menu, but when i select "new game" the game closes and brings up a message: "ENGINE has stopped working." I am not very computer smart, but i have spent many hours trying to figure out solutions. I download this Swiftshader, but don't know what to do with it. I have also installed the build 14 mod, all that changed was the game closed after I selected my storyline. I would really appreciate any help, I have hit a dead end. I am using a new laptop with windows 7 and an intel integrated graphics card if that info helps. Thanks

Install swiftshader into your POTC folder. That should be it.
Hi. I have installed the game (without mod) with this swiftshader however it keeps crashing with the ENGINE failure. I have an Intel integrated graphics card and Windows 7. Any solutions?

Where did you install it? If you install POTC into "program files" windoze security is activated and it crashes.
Age of Pirates 1 run fine without swiftshader in my x3100(all in max no lag), but in the Potc he crash on the Engine Screen. ; (
Hi, Exactly the same problems as pachta,installing it into potc folder has not helped and my potc folder is not in programme files.
Any solutions?

It is unlike that somebody is going to see this, but this is not working for me. It crash to desktop when i launch, engine has stopped working.
