So far, only Russia, China and Poland have a cav advantage in terms of tactics - cossack lancers can be upgraded to Kuban cossacks who can lay down lots of ammo; Poland's Wilenska has a speed and attack bonus, while China's dadao cavalry is a more efficient melee unit.

Woohoo! Cavalry! Let's charge the tank with lance and sword!

Well just kidding! Anyway I think combine cavalry with mechanized and tanks units would create a strong mobile force :) . And cavalry always look impressive

You are more likely to charge cavalry BEHIND armoured cars or alongside tanks which they can keep up with, or into factions with hardly any armoured cars to begin with. Some factions like Bulgaria do not get tanks until [3], so cavalry is useful against them. Cavalry is cheap oil-wise, so they can be used in situations where oil is at a premium.

Description

French cavalry in manoeuvre!
Although they are rather fragile, cavalry are very useful with several regards - they are one of many units able to detect hidden units, and are also the fastest "infantry" unit available to use. In early pre-Electronics games, cavalry are very useful for escorting tanks approaching enemy lines, especially if you are attacking Germany, with its fearsome Tankgewehr infantry. Use your rifle infantry to suppress assault infantry; your tanks to silence the enemy machine guns; and the cavalry to deal with anti-tank infantry and artillery.
