Age of Chivalry is a total conversion for Half-Life 2 currently being developed by Team Chivalry. We are a close group of friends who are dedicated to creating a fun story driven multiplayer experience set in a fantasy world in the medieval ages. We are creating a fast paced and fun first person melee combat system that will take the player to a new level of immersion. The players will be able to take part in sieges, town raids and open war in a story driven game. Our goal is to let the players write the history of the game as the teams battle it out over a sequence of user controlled map cycles depending on the victor. We want to take the overall experience to a new level of fun. All of our members have a solid modding background and we hope that you support our modification as it grows and develops!

We are proud and honored to announce that, from this Wednesday Oct 2nd, Age of Chivalry will be available for download via Steam.

Team Chivalry has been given the opportunity as one of 5 top mods to ship their product via Steam. Once installed, Age of Chivalry will appear in your "My Games" list and will receive automatic updates just like other games on Steam. Also, we can now take advantage of Steamworks, which provides stat tracking and tighter integration with the Steam community. Meaning that having Achievements is now also possible.
We are also very happy to announce that Age of Chivalry 1.2 will be available Oct. 2nd on Steam. Will be using the Orange box SDK as its base. Just to clarify this, you do NOT need to own the Orange Box to play AoC. Everyone who owns either, Half-Life 2, Half-Life2: Deathmatch, Counterstrike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Team Fortress 2, Portal, Half-Life 2: Episode One. Are able to play Age of Chivalry.

Team Chivalry can not thank Valve enough for this opportunity. We feel that this is what we have been working towards for the last 3 years and it is great to finally after having to stay silent about this for 6 months we can now go public with this news.

Congrats. Although saying "one of top 5 mods" may be going a little far. Maybe one of the top 5 mods that is switching to OB engine. Although i do believe AoC is one of MY top 5 mods some of the other ones on the list are really meh.

I know what he meant. Unlike you he used proper grammar so it was easy to understand.
What im saying is that i know all of the mods that are in the "top five" and i have to say some of them are not all that great.

Great.
If you own only Half-Life2: Deathmatch you can't play HL2 mods because the HL2:DM doesn't come with the SDK.
