After a considerable time in production, the long ago promised new version of Age of Chivalry: Hegemony has finally arrived! It adds five new countries - Florence, Milan, Venice, Liège, and Brandenburg - each with unique features and distinctive character.

Teutonic Order fortress

Command Italian Condottieri and Liègeois Haidroits, Brandenburger Junkers or Venetian Stradiots. Construct magnificent monuments, such as the church of St Mark of Venice, the Duomo of Florence or the St Lambert cathedral of Liège.

Florentine Guild Hall

Take a stand when advancing your country through the centuries: as Milan, will you favour the Lombard League or the rise of the Visconti Signoria? As Venice, will you look to the sea or the land? As Liège, will you side with the rebellious citizenry or the ruling bishops? Or read about each country in the history section.

The eighteen original countries have not been neglected, either. Many units have new graphics and many more building graphics have been added while some old graphics have been improved. Some countries have been rebalanced after much testing and a new AI is now included which poses much more of a challenge than the old AI ever did. Furthermore, many new objects have been included for scenario designers to use.

Hey, Happerstech, i was thinking about the posibility of include the Holy Roman Empire, as a semi faction, like you did with the Teutonic Order to Brandenburg. Maybe with a civ like Bavaria, or Bohemia (and why not with Milan). In the 13th century you can have the choice to follow the path of Frederick and unite germany and conquer north italy, or continue as a independent faction, like Brandenburg. I think it's a good idea! And a suggestion of a great fan!

The Holy Roman Empire is already included - quite a few of the countries in the mod were member states long before 1200. So this is not a policy decision (like the Teutonic Order) because it was already a long-standing fact.

But when you play a couple of countries - Austria, Bavaria, and Bohemia - you can even choose to become emperor! This is what the 'Romzug' policy decision entails. The Romzug was the journey by an elected emperor to Rome, where he would then be crowned by the Pope (if all went well), which would officially make him emperor (until that moment they were just King of the Romans). Researching Romzug will allow the recruitment of the Reichsritter, or Imperial Knight, a heavy cavalry lancer and bodyguard of the emperor.

I understand your point and that you want to have a great historical accurate mod. And that's very good! I wanted a more ''total war'' Holy Roman Empire, if you can understand me, a faction totaly independent. But now that you have explain me the role of the Holy Empire in this mod, and how relate it with the german states, i'm satisfied! haha Cheers

No, but can't be bad to have more civs, no one wants to play as liege but many as a improved China.

This mod is aimed at recreateing medieval Europe, not Asia, that's why he replaced all of the non-european civs with things like Bohemia and Bavaria, not to mention the creator already said the he wasn't going to create ANY new civs.
