To better reflect the character of the 12th-15th centuries, Age of Chivalry: Hegemony replaces or significantly alters each of the civilizations in the original game, adding many new units and technologies, allowing the player to control Central and Western European states.

Play as Austria, Bavaria, Bohemia, Brittany, Burgundy, Denmark, England, Flanders, France, Friesland, Genoa, Guelders, Helvetia, Poland, Savoy, Saxony, Scotland, or Wales. Fight through random maps, a unique historical eight-scenario campaign, and multiplayer matches.

Real world maps of Central Europe, Western Europe, Northern Italy and the Low Countries have been added, and gameplay and balance have been changed significantly for extra realism.

Train a hero to lead your armies, make policy decisions that will affect the strengths and weaknesses of your state, raise armies of mercenaries, superior longbowmen, slow but strong knights, or soldiers with dangerously long pikes. Explore a whole new medieval period in Age of Chivalry: Hegemony!

After a considerable time in production, the long ago promised new version of Age of Chivalry: Hegemony has finally arrived! It adds five new countries - Florence, Milan, Venice, Liège, and Brandenburg - each with unique features and distinctive character.

Teutonic Order fortress

Command Italian Condottieri and Liègeois Haidroits, Brandenburger Junkers or Venetian Stradiots. Construct magnificent monuments, such as the church of St Mark of Venice, the Duomo of Florence or the St Lambert cathedral of Liège.

Florentine Guild Hall

Take a stand when advancing your country through the centuries: as Milan, will you favour the Lombard League or the rise of the Visconti Signoria? As Venice, will you look to the sea or the land? As Liège, will you side with the rebellious citizenry or the ruling bishops? Or read about each country in the history section.

The eighteen original countries have not been neglected, either. Many units have new graphics and many more building graphics have been added while some old graphics have been improved. Some countries have been rebalanced after much testing and a new AI is now included which poses much more of a challenge than the old AI ever did. Furthermore, many new objects have been included for scenario designers to use.

I've just uploaded a new version (which still needs to be approved) that features a brand new installation system. You should probably get that and see if you can install it successfully now.

Hi! The game is wonderful, but I've found some problems with Bohemia:
-in the bohemian tech-tree is planned to build mounted crossbowmen, but during the game... you can't.
-when you program to start a standard game (for example "regicide") in the 14th century... you start in the 13th century with the research for 15th century... The 14th century is disappeared.
Maybe is only a problem with my own patch... But I ask you for more information because is a really good game and I'd like to play it without bugs.
I hope I was clear.
Thank you

Thanks for your feedback! The Bohemian tech tree appears to have an error which I'll rectify.

It's advisable not to start in later centuries. Unfortunately the complicated changes to the technology system in Age of Chivalry cause bugs if you start in later periods. This problem is bigger with civs with more complicated tech trees, like Bohemia or Saxony.

I will release a new update very shortly, which will have a different installation system. If the present installation program is giving you trouble you might want to wait for this patch.

Your description is a bit vague but it sounds like you either have an illegal installation, which can cause unforeseen errors, or you have an AoK Gold edition and installed the C patch over it. If the latter is the case, the problem is caused by your installation of the C patch - as the Gold edition already has this patch pre-installed, you don't need to install it again and will actually give you an error like that if you do.

Hello, I must say: This is a wonderful addition and I am certainly enjoying this modification to the fullest!

However one thing does elude me.

Heroes. I understand I can only build one, I know he is in the Castle in the 15th Century after certain choices that have been made. However whenever I click on him he simply gives me a sound that one would hear when a unit cannot be produced.

Could you please give me a literal in depth speech as to how I am supposed to recruit this lad? I'm doing this as Wales, if you'd like to specifically tell me for that.

Thanks, I really appreciate this.

I just tested it out to make sure there wasn't a specific bug for Wales, but once the button to train a hero becomes available (after researching a policy decision, in the case of Wales Independence or English Vassal), you can train it right away.

However, you can only train the hero once. When it dies, it dies, and it cannot be retrained.

If the problem persists, can you tell me what the settings of your game were? ie starting age, etc.
