Concentrating on the late medieval period, Age of Chivalry: Hegemony replaces or significantly alters each of the civilizations in the original game, while adding a number of new ones, allowing the player to control Central and Western European states. Many new units and technologies have been added and gameplay dynamics have been changed considerably in this complete overhaul of Age of Empires II.

A new version of Age of Chivalry: Hegemony has been released, adding new graphics and fixing balance issues and bugs.

Age of Chivalry: Hegemony map

In version 2.0, no fewer than 26 countries are available to the player: Austria, Bavaria, Bohemia, Brandenburg, Brittany, Burgundy, Denmark, England, Flanders, Florence, France, Friesland, Genoa, Guelders, Helvetia, Hungary, Liège, Milan, Naples, the Papal States, Poland, Savoy, Saxony, Scotland, Venice, and Wales.

Scottish settlement

The new version addresses some balance issues, for instance toning down overpowered priests by giving them a modest training cost increase for each technology you research that will boost their conversion abilities.

Teutonic Order town

Graphically speaking, this version not only adds a ton of new eye-candy objects, but also improves and completes the two existing building sets for the Baltic countries (Brandenburg, Denmark and Saxony) and the Low Countries (Flanders, Friesland and Guelders). In addition, a number of isolated building graphics have also been replaced or improved, such as the Scottish Princely Court or the Milanese Castle. All these updates should give version 2.0 a much more polished feel.

You can get version 2.0 HERE.

You should try to ally with the creator of this mod Moddb.com and merge both mods into a supper awesome global encompassing mod.

That's a great looking mod but its goal is the opposite from Age of Chivalry: where AoCH tries to simulate the medieval period on a local level, this one appears to do that with a global level. As such, you get different selections of units and countries available to the player, and you can't just merge the two. Still, I wish them all the best.

Hi, Hungarian Royal Knights in the 15th century were very heavily armoured, so their current appearance is actually more appropriate. They already have the Székely for their unique light cavalry.
