Welcome to Age of Arthur!! Set in the time of the Dark Ages, this mod hopes to encompass the right balance of historical fact and light fantasy. Journey 150 years before the events of Brytenwalda, a time when Saxon hordes have recently arrived in England. See a world lost in Transition, moving from the time of Rome to a new world ruled by war and chaos.
Just to prove I'm still working on this, here are the some new troop trees to wet your appetite :)
I'm so pumped for this mod. Hope it is more Romanlike than the Bytenwalda mod. As this takes place a century or two before it when Roman Influence had just barely been withdrawn.
thank you. Yes there is more of a roman influence you will see if/when I post the Romano-Briton tree, and there is roman troops for those that chose to start with a Roman background, just not yet totally happy enough these units to post them yet.
Could at the end of the Romano-Briton cavalry branch be Graal Knights? Please?
Sorry, but Briton don't use slave. I have no time for research of ancient text. But, i have this book in my booshelf -> Amazon.frété-celtique/dp/2228904260 and if my memories are not clouded, the old brittonic constitution forbiden slavery. The only exeption is prisonner of war and only for a mount of time, not lif slavery. (sorry for my bad english, i 'm French)
malhuin, what age are you talking about? A Constitution? I think you must be thinking of a much later era.
Slavery was normal and routinely practiced in Britain up through the beginning of Norman England. The native Britons were completely absorbed or driven out, and the saxons and angles that did that to them had been absorbed as well, before it would be banned.
Slavery was certainly recognized and supported in traditional celtic and welsh law.
Tim malhuin is right slavery was punishment for war criminals or for example murders who would serve their debt to the family by serving as their slave but the Irish did commonly use slave.
Hya mate! Excellent mod, live it! I am a huge fan of bernard cornwells warlord chronicles and arthur and merlin, therfore i will no longer searcch for my perfect game as ive now found it! 😋👌
If i dare say so though: why are the britons mail shirts so ripped up and full of holes? The romano britons where disciplined soldiers who mostly served in auxilia units or where ancestors of these proud warriors. As such they knew how to look after there weapons and armor...could u change the effects to clean armor for these warriors? If not then atleast change the arnor to learher lamelar. This would give the troops a more serious and harder appearance :)
