Your name is David Leatherhoff, and you're addicted to a new painkiller from a company unknown.
They keep coming, and you can't stop taking them.
Lately you have started to experience illusions, dreams picking at your deepest and darkest fears.
Finally, you go to the Hospital, seeking help. First, however, you make a stop into the bathroom, where another bottle of pills awaits you, standing out like a beacon in the night in your depraved eyes.
When will it all stop?

Afraid of Monsters, a Survival Horror mod, has been released for Half Life one. Now, don’t let the “Half Life 1” part throw you off, AOM is one trip that no mod has yet to deliver with Source. Afraid of Monsters puts you in the shoes of David Leatherhoff, a drug addict that simply can’t stop. The mod takes you through many various environments, poking and clawing at your deepest fears. For more information, visit the mod’s ModDB profile at here.
You can also download the mod at here or here .
Be sure to play with the lights out and the volume loud.

This mod looks cool. Are there any download links yet, and if so, where can I get the mod?
great mod.....scary indeed :paranoid:
but i'm stuck and can't find a walkthrough or something like that.
i'm in "backalley" and after i pressed the button in the "power" room (the one with all those pipes), no new passage has opened - or rather i can't find that passage (though i searched the level over and over again) can someone please tell me where to go/ what to do :?
btw: is it purpose that you have to knife at least half the zombies (even without wasting a single shot) in the first level (at least at difficult), or where did you hide all the ammo? just wondering - i don't mind having to conserve my bullets.
Don't worry I've sorted it now. You have to unpack into the Sourcemods folder in Steam not the HL1 folder like it says. I haven't had chance to play it yet, it's 2am and I'm really tired but I'll give it a go tomorrow. I can't wait, sounds awesome. Thanks to ruMpel for the reply, you set me in the right direction.
I've installed it using steam but it dosen't come up in the steam menu. In the HL folder it has another folder called AOM, do I need to unpack that directly into the HL folder and then delete the empty AOM folder?
Ok thanks. I haven't seen Jacobs Ladder!! Thats for sure. And I love Silent Hill. If you didnt know, this was just a test mod, my first mod I have done.
this mod looks good but i spent to much time trying to get it to work i have installed it to the steammods folder and nottin works i am pissed at this mod right now.
Really good mod... It was really good. But i have a problem, the zombies sounds like horny monkeys! But everything else was gooooooood!
You need to climb up in a hole who is located in the house where the door is open.
Did you make this all by yourself? Or are some of the models and stuff from other sites/people? Pretty impressive...
So here's my question, will this ever be modified to work with non-downloaded half life?
I'm simply not paying $9.95 to download Half-life on steam when I already have the original CD from it's first release and the game in the source engine that came with HL2.
I have two versions of the same game and can't justify to myself why I'd pay for another copy.
Or can this mod be miraculously run if you didn't download half-life?
