Hi, I'd just like to inform the ModDB community that my Half-Life 1 modification, Afraid of Monsters, is back with a new lease of life! Afraid of Monsters : Director's Cut is now in production! Expect to see new weapons, new monsters and a whole set of new monsters designed to make your blood run cold!

AoM DC will have like (((((5 different endings))))), new levels, new and more weapons, new monsters, and another gamestyle. And yeah, it will get different...

can you make more puzzles

I agree, the invisible monsters pissed me off! The transparent zombies didn't bother me though, they were hard to see but still possible to see! They were a great move, but the completely invisible one was annoying.

Suggestions\idea's:
- Like someone mentioned - invisible enemies are annoying. ALMOST invisble - ok, but not invisible.
- More furniture inside, more dirt and rubbish outside - because now, locations looks a bit... empty.
- Less monsters, more schizophrenia! This guys mind is kinda ruined by these pills, isn't it? Then show us! Walls with driping blood, the I-run-thru-the-corridor-and-it's-making-longer-and-longer-thing , and some other things. I've got some ideas, but I don't want to make spoilers , if You interested - pm me :)
- More high-res textures and new blood\bullet holes decals would be great :)
- Some sounds might be better

And some questions - do You plan making more melee weapons? . And if - Can You make David able only to carry one of them at a time? The melee weapons should lie over the streets or in some rooms, and would have different parameters - one should be faster, other stronger - I think You know what I mean. Other question - would it be possible, to make it more... ummm, realistic? You know, the normal human can carry a handgun or two, nades, a knife and 1 or 2 long guns It'll be ok anyway - it's only in his head :)

Well, I hope my suggestion's\idea's will be useful - if You want more idea's\info about these, pm me :) And, anyway - I'm gonna play this one, as well as the old one. It's just good. Very good :)

how about adding NPCs? like meet this strange woman in the forest (even if it is his hallucination) .. have a cut scene then put subtitles or better yet get voice actors to do their voices? then u can make that person follow you and make them stop by pressing e.. protect them and bring them to an area.. a cutscene and they transform into this boss monster that u have to defeat.. then it opens a new area when u defeat them

or having this civilian he imagines who has a gun and can give you backup? especially in the areas where theres numerous amounts of monsters

NPCs sure would be handy, especially if it were a Barney-clone, with a gun...but i don't think it'll be added, because you feel very alone the entire mod..i'd kill for backup in the mod, even just a scientist that uses the syringe to heal you like in HL..I'd rather see text than hear a voice actor, to make us use some imagination, and so a corny voice wouldn't ruin the tense mood...

If anything, i really hope he puts in at least a few areas where we can finally catch our breath, and relax, even just for a minute...the entire mod was tense, and i was burned out by the end of it...scared? no, more like, dread. My stomach HURT the entire time i was so on edge...an NPC with a weapon would be a godsend, but i think it might make us relax too much...

Unless he was suddenly attacked by a ravenous beast, or turned into a grotesque, hideous..thing!

No. AoM can't get Co-op, because the monsters in AoM is hallucianations that David see. Other people can't see the same hallucinations that David have.
