AW: Frontline is a real time adaptation of the long running Advance Wars series that takes the best elements of the AW series and C&C Red Alert 3 and brings them together!

Being real time we feel the objective of standard matches needs to be changed from the old "destroy every unit" objective of advance wars to a much more basic goal of "destroy the enemy HQ while protecting your own".

Players will be given bases and cities at the start of the match, both bases and cities along with HQ's generate income and repair units nearby. Bases are less common than cities, but can be used to produce ground vehicles and infantry. These structures are essential to victory and making sure you capture bases across the map will allow you to take and keep the fight away from your HQ! Do not underestimate the importance of cities however, they are also essential to fund your army and keeping them in fighting shape!

Buildings in Frontline are invulnerable (except for the HQ) meaning you cannot destroy a base or city by force, instead you will need to capture it using either an Infantry or Mech unit.

When a player loses their HQ, they, along with all their properties are destroyed and removed from play meaning in a game of more than 2 players, capturing everything that is nailed down will greatly help you in the rest of your fight.

To spice combat up, players are given a choice of CO's for each faction that determine the stats of their units and gives them access to various player powers, some of which are capable of changing the course of the battle!

Fog of War makes a return with a slight difference, not only will the fog make it harder to see what's going on but it also means even the areas you can see are in the darkness of night!

Art Direction

Red Alert 3 is often dismissed as being "cartoony". If you thought core Red Alert 3 was cartoony, you haven't seen anything yet. Sometimes less is more, this is one of those times where disproportionate and bright units are more than welcome to take centre stage!

Tank models in AW look different to this ones and the windows just looks bad.

We're not aiming for a 100% remake as for the windows browse through the sample screenshots to see how it will really look

Come on... already bashing the mod? These vehicles and buildings look very neat to me. I wonder how you will cope with infantry, though. :-)

Who would stick giant infantry with massive heads out of exposed hatches 24/7 :P the Orange Star, Blue Moon, Green Earth and Yellow Comet Militaries :P
