Welcome to Action Quake Classes! That's just one of the things you'll see when you open this up. This is (trying to be) a COMPLETE remake of Action Quake code, all from scratch of the 3.20 source. The full source is available, and it is fully released. Right now, there are over 50 features. Approx. 16 have been recreated from Action Quake, and the rest have been implemented. The main feature of this mod is, of course, Classes! There are (at the moment) 10 different classes to choose from, each with it's own weapon set. Anyways, the main idea of this mod is to recreate Action Quake as close as possible, and to recreate real-life situations in War times, but more freedom for classes.

Why .500? Well, the latest WAS 4.0, but I found around 5 errors dealing with the version information in-game, so I released the fixed dll back at Paril's Projects.

Anyways, here are the main features added into this version:

- Blood Splatter
- Bholes server variable
- Reduced falling damage by more than before, is a bit more realistic than before
- Day/Night cycle! Turns from FullBright (A) to Pitch Black (Z).
- Flashlight (Well, with the Day/Night, you'll need it...)
- Class stability increased (Changed a few codes for the switching mechanism (takes a couple milliseconds longer), and EndObserverMode() was done a bit better
- All health now replaced with "Bandages".
- Got the scope working. Sniper now comes with Scope.
- A new variable for you cvar lovers
- Some new things I've made quickly in Commands
- Footsteps Variable (Told you I'd do it ;) )
- MELEE ATTACKS!!!! Knife is implemented. Also, use the hands now. They aren't TOTALLY useless ;)

Also, have a sneak peak at 5.0:

- New gib function. Whenever you die, gibs are spurted out as usual. But a random chest/head will come out. Shoot it a couple times to reveal... More gibs!
- Random Earthquake Generator! 7-10 realtime minutes for activation, 10-20 seconds of lasting time.
- Player_Die() function when you change classes. Note: When you spawn in first as a spectator, you will get +1 score (ONLY ONCE), so that you will start at 0 when you first spawn in.

Anyways, go download 4.0 client/server files, and then download the 4.0.500 DLL upgrade.

They shake the level. Just like a normal earthquake.. And no, there was never a cvar. I wish there were, but with the engine, I don't think I can. I will make a cvar for changing both time limits though :)

Wow that sounds cool, what do the earthquakes do? Just shake the screen? Do you move around or something? Is there a cvar for how powerful they get?
