'Acropolis' is a fully-fledged multiplayer total conversion for the Source Engine. The mod is based at around 500BC, during the Greco-Persian war era where Prince Xerxes invaded Greece. Join the ranks of the loyal Spartans - The elite of the elite, you have been chosen to fight by Leonidas' side in a counter attack to stop the Persians where they stand in their efforts to overtake Greece, Or join King Xerxes' army of the damned - The Immortals. You and your fellow soldiers were once men, but are now tormented, disfigured and horrific beings. Xerxes has promised you and your fellow men everlasting life if you conquer Greece on your Crusade of the disturbed. The Mod will have the following features - - Strong horror themes throughout. Fight the Persian army consisting of horrendously disfigured mutants and disturbingly mutilated beings, whos very sounds and movements make your skin crawl. Go to battle against the mighty Spartans, trained to kill from birth. War drums...

Hey everyone,

I hope you have all had a good week. Unfortunatley I've been pretty ill with flu but don't go thinking we haven't stopped working here at Acropolis :).

We would like to introduce and welcome our new member, IHazard. He is currently our main mapper and is making some good, steady progress which is exactly what we have asked from him, so cheers for everythign so far mate and keep up the good work!
Also, we would like to welcome back roAst, the old co-leader to this mod who is giving up his spare time to be part of this mod, so that's great to have him back!

We're now really beginning to grow in size and content, so don't be shy to PM me if you'd like to take part in this mod in anyway at all.

I'll try and slip in a nice new media update before Christmas, and again before New Year, but until then, here are some Alpha map shots of Battle of Thermopylae, courtesy of IHazard.
