"A travesty has befallen the sacred lands of our God Emperor. The despicable Ork tides have already taken the planet Tern and are now sweeping through the entire system. These foul creatures not only threaten the millions of inhabitants but take the Forges for their own perverse means. Should the Imperial Guard faulter, we shall stand firm. My brethren, it is our duty to cleanse these Xenos in the name of the Emperor. Never forget, never forgive."
- Grand Master Uriel, briefing aboard Strike Cruiser Exheres Venia, Sanctus Sector.

As many of you can see, the 8th Legion team has been striving to complete most assests, mainly models, before the engine is even out. The attitude the team has taken to the task is a direct and serious one. We realise that it does take more than a couple of years to release a good game and there is no sense in twiddling thumbs until the dev tools comes out. However, the team is still lacking in some departments so please do not hesitate to get in contact with us if you wish to help out.
Getting into contact with us can be achieved in several ways. Either an Email or Private Message on our website's forums at 8thlegion.net or come onto our IRC channel listed in the side panel.

The last i believe we relayed we were doing an overhaul of our website something which did not go as smoothly as intended but we are all the better for it. During said time development progress slowed during our Exam and other family commitments over christmas and new years but with all of this out of the road and returning to our regular schedules development resumes as do our updates.
Some leaps and bounds with music have got it edging ever closer to completion along with our modelling team finishing off the remaining weapons and the like with plans to revise all the models and further increase the detail along with adding the appropriate mappings. And as always here's a render for you to mull over.
As per usual we are still on the look out for talent in most area's so if you think you could benefit our team then please let us know!

Looking sexy, can't wait guys!
How about organizing some kind of talent exchange with an other 40k mod?
Incredible looking models. Could this be the WH40K Mod we have been waiting for for years?
We have UV-mapped some models for the then-interested texture artists. I really don't feel like telling the mod's life story here but you get the picture in my previous post.
On a side note, the website is undergoing a few minor hick ups with the domain since we just switched packages to our very on coder's, Ransico, creation. Please jump to 8thlegion.net for now thanks :).
haha, yea i know about that :P good people are hard to find... have you UV-mapped the models?
Trust me, if we had a texture artist we'd have skins :)
People do apply but then go away for a bit, life of a mod I guess.
Hello
Must say you got some very cool stuff going on... you got a texturer? seems as u lack that..
Well, good luck, keep it up!
I might be on this mod team soon! :D

Would love to, but unfortunately we have everything but a texture artists and until some one volunteers that meets the teams standards we will continue to work with what staff we have.
try to show some skinned models instead of unskined ones
