a Nightmare on elm street mod for Gears of War

Great idea. Tracking.

On the elm_tennager map(lol typos, there are a lot of those) you play as a teenager and there are random freddy's spawned across the map. You are given two choices to either kill the freddys or solve the puzzle and wake up. I mentioned before how you can't choose dialog for some reason, so I just hit escape and go on with the map. You have to find the four items and either dodge or kill freedy. When you find the four items you go to the alarm clock, set it off, and wake up. GG, map over.

Like I said these seemed pretty good from the screens, but after playing them, all I can say is that they need a lot of work and polish to be 10/10s. So far I'd give them a 3/10 because the freddy model looks pretty good and the concept is great. Things that I would work on would be to expand the house, and to make it like the movies. The map itself is waaay too small. Make it so you can walk down the street or to the high school. If you can, try to make it so that Freddy only has his glove, and that the animation actually uses the glove. Also the teenagers are just that, teenagers, don't give them a buzzsaw or anything like that. Give them fists, or if you want to get real creative, incorporate dream powers.

In conclusion, good for fans, but not exactly entertaining or playable. Needs a lot of work.

Although it seems promising the map(s) could use a lot of work. Freddy uses the hammer of dawn and his melee action isn't using his glove which is pretty beat. The teenagers all use the Lancer, but it just looks like a chainsaw. I was surprised to see dialog and items to pick up, but I couldn't select the choices, instead I had to keep hitting the esc button just to get it off the screen. The original music is always nice and freddy is placed in pretty creepy spots (and can two shot you). The map itself has A LOT of glitches and you can't even get into the basement from what I can tell (what a bummmer). You could probably guess that the map isn't very self explanatory so I'll give it my best shot.

On the elm_freddy map, you're supposed to go through the house and kill all the teenagers as well as destroy key items that they need to wake up/kill freddy. The map is really small and there are only four items from what I found, and then you go to the alarm clock and destroy it to keep them from waking up. And done.
