Possible bug, but I'm not sure. If you are holding something (a cube) and jump into water in one of the bedroom rooms, you will be teleported back to the button hall, but the item will vanish for good.

It's not really a bug but not well designed on my part. 2 things you could do for that part if I understand what you're saying: You could run backwards while holding the "O" ring so it doesn't get hit by the rising pillars or you could get a couple cubes to stack and climb up. I hope that helps
