Welcome to C&C Generals Zero Hour : "A GLOBAL CRISIS".

This mod brings Israel and Syria (from the popular MidEast Crisis total conversion mod made by Isotx, with their permission) with their full unique armies - into C&C Generals: Zero Hour expansion pack, with all of the original Zero Hour factions, campaigns and Generals challenge mission, BUT with some great new changes like realistic skins and models, new units and an additional United Nations Boss General!

Available Factions:

Israel:

To counter their smaller numbers, Israel prefers high quality units over quantity, but their units are very expensive.
- Specializations: Armored Division, Air-Force Commander, Sayeret Special-Forces.

Syria:

Syria relies on mass numbers of outdated but cheap and reliable Russian equipment and fortified positions.
- Specializations: Republican Guard, Hezbollah Component, Iranian reinforcements.

USA:

- USA main faction.

- Air Force General.

- Superweapon General.

- Laser General.

GLA:

- GLA main faction.

- Toxin General.

- Demolition General.

- Stealth General.

China:

- China main faction.

- Tank General.

- Infantry General.

- Nuke General.

United Nations - Boss General:

General Leang, the Chinese Boss General from the last Generals Challenge mission, is unlocked!
Now she is a U.N. Boss General!
That's why she controls units from all the original factions and even more! ...
Additionally, the U.N. Boss General has some unique units too! (It's a little surprise... ).
The U.N. Boss Genera can be played as Human player side for Multiplayer and Skirmish games (No AI support except for the last Generals challenge mission).

For those of you who are new to A Global Crisis, this mod brings Israel and Syria (from the popular Mideast Crisis total conversion mod made by Isotx, with their permission) with their full unique armies - into C&C Generals: Zero Hour expansion pack, with all of the original ZH factions, campaigns and Generals Challenge missions, BUT with some great new changes like realistic models/skins, new units (for all sides) + an additional United Nations Boss General!


This mod features:

  • Israel and Syria (modified from MeC) in addition to all factions from Zero-Hour + a special UN Boss General. That makes 15(!) playable factions!
  • Zero-Hour factions are modified and have new models and skins for some of the existing units (M1 Abrams-Crusader tanks, Humvees, Rangers, Rebels and more…) and some new units (M2 Bradley IFV, MLRS units, Machine-Gunners and more…).
  • For Israel and Syria: All units from MeC, including new units from MeC "lost Beta" version (Israeli Quads and Humvees, Hezbollah guerrillas…) + some new units and models, realistic skin changes and cameos. Few upgrade changes and some new abilities.
  • Boss General unlocked, heavily modified and turned into a UN Boss General!
  • Full AI support on ALL Skirmish maps (ZH + MeC + Bhones map-pack) for 14 factions (no AI support for the UN Boss General, except for the last Generals Challenge mission).
  • All original campaigns from Zero-Hour (which look MUCH better now with all the new graphics!).
  • All original Generals Challenge campaigns + Israel, Syria and UN Boss Generals Challenge campaigns (using the original missions + added support for these factions).
  • New logos, some new background screens + a modified ZH shell-map.
  • Updated game manual (You can also download it separately from here).

How do you properly uninstall this? i dont like it that much. want to try another mod. i went in to add/remove programs and uninstalled it there, but whenever i clicked on zero hour it came up "a global crisis" (however the new general are not there etc, just the loading screen says a global crisis), which means its not fully uninstalled, i then uninstalled command and conquer and re installed it (i have The First decade).
there are a few things i dont like with this mod, the campaign missions with the new generals are almost impossible to do. the super weapons also have very little damage, AA weapons can also shoot down the scud storms and nukes.

By the way i am NEW to adding Mods to the game, just got board of teh normal zero hour)

You can completely uninstall A Global Crisis mod by using one of these methods:
Option 1:
---------
Press the "Windows" button -> Go to "All Programs" -> Go to A GLOBAL CRISIS -> Click "Uninstall".
Option 2:
---------
Go to the main "Zero Hour" folder on your hard-drive -> Go to the "AGC" folder -> Double-click on the file "UninsAGC.exe".
Option 3:
---------
Go to the main "Zero Hour" folder on your hard-drive -> Delete the folder "AGC" -> Delete these file: "0AGCv1.0.big", "Install_Final.bmp", "launcher.bmp" -> rename the file "Install_Final.zh" to "Install_Final.bmp" -> rename the file "launcher.zh" to "launcher.bmp".

Using the "uninstall" option in Add-Remove Programs is generally not the best way.
It DID remove A Global Crisis mod, but it did not change the splash screen back to normal.
If this happens you have to manually rename the "Install_Final.zh" and "launcher.zh" as stated in option 3 above.

Sorry to hear you don't like it much, but it's perfectly legit – every person got his own flavor...
BTW, it IS possible to complete the missions and the Generals Challenge campaign with each and every General of ANY faction (I've done it myself), the ability to shoot down Scud storms and nukes with AA weapons also exists in the original Zero-Hour and is not changed in A Global Crisis. The Super-weapons damage is also not changed in this mod...
The idea of this mod was simply to add Israel, Syria and the UN Boss General to Zero-Hour and improving the existing factions, mainly by changing the LOOKS of existing units, but without changing the game-play significantly. (Because I really like the original game-play of Zero-Hour, I just thought it looked bad...
So if you like Zero-Hour and just think it needs a new LOOK - this is THE mod for you.
But if you think Zero-Hour is boring - well... it is simply not for you).

no idea what happened with my download of it then, when i launched a nuke at another super weapon, it would only take off less than 1/4 of its life, with out teh mod it takes off about 3/4 of its life, the scud storm also does not leave the toxic cloud like it used to (this is with the boss general), i didnt try it much with any other general. for all i know i could have downloaded an older version of it with bugs, like i said i am new to doing this :).

Currently there is only one version of A Global Crisis: ver. 1.0. There are no "old versions with bugs".
The Boss General has the Tomahawk Storm superweapon (see here: Moddb.com ) instead of the Scud Storm - which perfectly explains why there's no toxic cloud... (The GLA Generals still have the regular chemical Scud Storm).
The nuke damage is not changed...
Another possibility is that you have 'leftovers' from previously installed mods. Please make sure there are no files from other mods in any of your Generals and Zero-Hour folders when playing A Global Crisis.

Sorry its been a while, i did everything in option 3, restarted comp and it is still coming up A global crisis. (i DID rename them 2 files as well. (it turned to a picture file if just Zero Hour logo on it). i then used the search bar on the windows tab and searched A global crisis and deleted everything with that on it, i also searched AGC and deleted stuff with that on it as well. but it still says A global crisis when i load the game.... i click on C&C Generals Zero Hour Icon to launch the game, the screen comes up for a few seconds saying its Zero hour, then it switches to a screen saying it is A Global Crisis, when the game loads everything goes back to ZERO HOUR and everything is removed.. no idea what else i could be missing. i may just do a factory reset on my pc (nothing important on my pc anyway.

It IS strange... but, nah man... you don't have to do a 'factory reset' on your PC.
If nothing else works - simply uninstall Zero-Hour, then delete the entire Zero-Hour directory, also delete the 'My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data' folder, then re-install Zero-Hour.
That should help.

Nope :( still didnt work lol, i uninstalled The first decade form Add remove programs, then went to my docuents and deleted the zero hour folder, then deleted the directory (on C drive)then deleted everything out of recycling bin then reinstalled, but it still comes up ;/. it does not seem to be affecting any other mods i installed so i am not fussed, just don't know why it's happening lol.

and go to Program there you can remove te mod also ather mods can be removed there

Greetings! Is it better David's Sling SAM system from Patriot or is it just other purpose? And there is annoying bug with nuclear weapon in israeli faction. Sometimes just fails, which is not the case with the Scud missile in syrian faction.

David's Sling system is a new air defense system with anti-ballistic and anti-aircraft capabilities. It suppose to be much better than the Patriot system (which Israel already has, but the Patriot is unable to do certain things, like intercepting mid-range rockets - that's why Israel developed David's Sling in first place).

The bug with the Israeli nuke fail is a known issue. Before I released A Global Crisis I made it happen less frequent than originally (in Mideast Crisis mod) so now it's kinda rare, but unfortunately it still happens sometimes.

I was wondering if you could have two or more mods installed on Zero Hour at a time? Like I currently have Shockwave installed. Would I have to uninstall in-order to install Global Crisis?

You CAN'T have two or more mods installed on Zero-Hour at the same time.
You MUST uninstall any other mod before installing A Global Crisis in order to run it properly.

That or make a copy of your Zero Hour install elsewhere, clean of any other mod content, and then install A Global Crisis into that clean Zero Hour folder. That's how I can run up to a dozen different Zero Hour mods including AGC.

This mod is amazing! Be sure Abra in the future when you decide to make an update of this mod to add in israeli or/and USA faction attack UAV with Hellfire missile! Recon UAV from command vehicle is good, but killer drone would be excellent! :)
