A new war rages between Israel and Syria, while the USA and China continue to fight against the GLA, turning the local Mid-East crisis into A GLOBAL CRISIS. "A_Global_Crisis" brings Israel and Syria (from the Mideast Crisis total conversion mod made by Isotx, with their permission) into C&C Zero Hour, with all of the original C&C ZH factions, campaigns and Generals challenge missions, BUT with some great new changes like realistic artwork and new units + an additional United-Nations Boss General!

The models are really good. This is probably the only mod I've seen with good skins etc for the rag heads.

I think he meant the RPG troopers wearing the Keffiyeh/Turban. Some people even call them "towel heads"... Not too politically correct ha?! :p

ill admit thats a pretty bad thing to say but there are worse things to sa example "desert coon" or "sand nigger" all of these offencive terms were made up to dehumanize the enemy in the gulf war so the soldiers had less of a problem with killing them (by the way i apologize for using the n word as i am white and it was not m intention to start a fight)

These models are based on C&C Generals' infantry models but with new weapon models and a new skin.
C&C Generals uses low-poly 3D models and low resolution textures for infantry. Therefore, it is not possible to make it more detailed. Sorry.

But considering these constrains – the infantry models in A Global Crisis look pretty good IMO and much better than the original Zero-Hour models.

its not that they put little effort in, they put a lot of effort in its just a problem that the engine was made 8 years ago and there fore has a few limitations. As far as models go its not just the computer but its the engine too. And the fact that the game is still being modded after so many years is a credit to how much effort ea did put in to their game.

hi all,
I'm pretty sure that zero hour(and generals vanilla) use the SAGE engine, which is also used by C&C3 and RA3. The reason the infantry models are so under-polyed is because this game was released quite a few years ago, when only mid to high range PC's could handle generals. Also your not gonna zoom in to the infantry that much all of the time so its not soo important. And with a few work arounds many of the limitations can be lifted, an example of this would be the modern wars mod, i forget the name of the author right now.
btw lovin the mod
