If you're having problems with the text in-game, try and delete the font_data.xml file in the directory:
\Mount&Blade; Warband\Modules\ACOK 1.4\Data

the sellswords companies don't work,i have the company of the cat but i only get their leader not their soldiers?
get the leader of the company and then go to the company its self and recruit them easy :)

I just besiged lorath and i didnt use cheat whole game i have 4000 income from stores and that helps to pay my army :) i dont use sellswords they ask for 2 much money :D

I've been trying to hire the sellsword companies since I'm ever the upstart usurper, but while I raise the funds and pay for them (having a new companion added to the party) I can't get the company to follow me. Every time I try to enter the camp it just gives me the option to leave. Am I missing something?
I'm having the same problem. I don't know if it matters, but after recruiting the sellsword captain my party is full when I reach the camp site. Also I used the gather companions option at the begging. Don't know if these will matter. TIA
You need to have enough space in your party in order to recruit the sellswords, while also having the relevant companion in your party.
