Wouldn't it make more sense to have all the soldier's armor look as nice as possible inside of paying for this? Like we see that armor far more than one lord's specific court clothing?

Is it okay to elaborate just a bit? Your mod, your decision; I get that and that's totally fine. But can you explain why troops can't get similarly high quality armor? Is it for game performance? Would appreciate some insight, thanks and appreciate your hard work on the mod.

The four pieces I've shown here cost 300 dollars to commision with the donations.

Look Cozur, I love the mod; and I think you're pretty awesome for doing all this for free for us all. I'm just suggesting that maybe ask the patrons/community if they'd like the money to go towards something else. Getting someone to get diplomacy to work like you and the community both want it to for example; or being able to start as a lord. I've been with this mod since like 0.5 and have great respect for the work you've done. I'm just saying that in the future maybe consider alternative uses for the money other than minor (very high quality), cosmetics?

So what you're basically saying is that I should listen to you? Not the people who have actually sent me messages requesting this?

$300 for 4 pieces? You are seriously going to take $300 for THAT? This is a great mod, but seriously, you are just a ****. You are never nice (From what I've seen) to anyone in the comments, even those who are nice to you and show their love towards your work and the mod. I am not familiar with how making new models and textures for this game works, but ******* hell, 300 dollars? Also, you have said that another armour piece would be 200 dollars? You never show any respect to any fans of the mod in the comments and you crave insane amounts of money for things. This mod would be nothing without the fans and patreons, your work would be useless to anyone but yourself, so fckin grow some balls and stop acting like a fckin huge son of a ****.

I paid Docm30 300 dollars to make those armors.

I haven't personally made a single coin from any of the work I've done for you.

While I'm here, I'll point out that $300 for 4 sets of armour is a phenomenally good price. If a retail game asked for the same thing, I'd likely charge at least $3000-$4000.

Sure, I'd like to be able to help the mod for free, but I just don't have the time. Getting a little extra pocket money (who doesn't need it these days?) is the only way I can budget the time to help Cozur. And I think you'll understand that when I do have time to work for free, I owe it to my fans to spend that time working on my own mod.

Well said Sir.

Seem's to me that this issue has needed addressing for a while now - reckon that you'd be hard pressed to find a more succint, pertinent reply than the one you've given here :)

What on Earth country is this where the amount of money equal to the price of a high-end video card is considered a "discounted" price for 4 game armors that are average at best?

Like, seriously?

I've seen OSPs with 10x number of armors looking better than this and made completely for free.

This sounds like one of the cases of some stupid ****** painting, the like of which children in kindergartens paint every day, sold at auctions for millions. Or a company spending millions for a new logo.
Wtf is wrong with this world...

Perhaps you should learn to model, sculpt, retopo, bake, and texture before making such an asinine comment.

Let's say Docm works extremely fast, and finishes each outfit in a work day, that's 8 hours (the process would probably realistically take me at least 2 days assuming I don't also have to rig).

At a minimum wage of $11, that's $88 at the very least per outfit. so 4 for $300 is a very generous price. Basically doing a skilled work that took years to hone while charging burger-flipping fees.

I don't necessarily agree with some of the negativity towards comments but it's understandable if this sort of entitlement is commonplace.

It's not entitlement, I don't even give a **** about GoT universe in general and anything about it, including this mod.
I just happened to see this comment and was like "really?".
$300 is a price of a high-end video card. Period. I can sort of agree with your calculations about its relevance for 4 average armors, but calling it discounted is ridiculous.

Also in my opinion skilled work doesn't deserve bigger pay just because it's skilled. The time spent on learning is usually compensated by much more comfortable working conditions. Like you can spend several years studying economics and end up working in a nice office with air conditioning or you can spend 0 hours learning how to sweep streets and end up sweeping streets. But such people are no less important (if not more), than economists.
Only if certain skilled work comes with greater stress and responsibility and not necessarily better working conditions (e.g., surgeon's work or chief accountant's work), it should have greater salary. An artist's work hardly fits here.

And don't you tell me to "learn to model, sculpt, retopo, bake, and texture". I spent years on my education, and not only at university but also in my free time. Yet I don't have greed and insolence to charge ridiculous amounts of money for my services in the area that I'm skilled at.
Each of us is an expert in their own field. I don't have to know how to "model, sculpt, retopo, bake, and texture".

Docm30, *****, please, not everyone is a greedy *****.
I used to have a full-time job in the past. The pay was equal to the average salary in my country, but even there I made more money than I needed for my life. Ended up quitting and getting a half-time job to have more free time instead.
Money-hungry people just make me vomit, that's it.
