City 7

City 7: Toronto Conflict, is an action packed Half-Life 2 mod with a variety of unique levels and game play. Explore what has become of City 7 in areas like Dundas square, Eaton Center , Mel Lastman square, St. Michael's Hospital and TTC system under the Combine rule. This version features Gordon Freeman as the main character, stuck in Toronto due to a teleporting accident in Kleiner's lab. Try to escape this war torn city by finding any type of teleporting technology and send him back to City 17.

Despite our small development team and short production time, we managed to get halfway to the CN tower and have already created 2-3 hours of fun and action packed game play! We want to finish this mod the way it was intended it to be, as a glimpse at what happen to a part of North American during the Combine invasion.

It is believed that the Combine have created multiple citadels around the globe and human communication in the Americas has been cut off for years. However, Dr. Kleiner has just established communication with an old collegue residing in Toronto, Canada, now known as City 7. These communications lead to questions... What have the combine done with the CN tower? (a communication tower in core of Toronto) Was it destroyed or rebuilt? Did the CN tower serve a purpose during the alien invasion? Is there a rebel force in Toronto, and who will lead them?

If you would like to apply to be a part of our development team, then please check -The Future- link section of our site.

City 7: Toronto Conflict is the first thesis project from the Game Design program at George Brown College . It is the policy of George Brown College not to endorse violence. We at the Game Design program respect this policy and understand the difference between real violence and video-game culture. We hope you enjoy this mod and follow the age rating advised for Half-Life 2.

I would like to remind the team that they should set a release date ahead of this current time if there is nothing to download, or upload a decent beta/demo of the game, and then set a proper release date.

First, I just want to thank the makers of this mod for a good story and an easy installation. It's real dumb to make a mod that is so hard to install that it never gets seen. This one was easy and the mod is difficult to play but really good. I'm not yet done, am near the end and have been stuck along the way a few times. The part where Gordon puts on the Combine suit is a nice touch but then he has to make it through alot of the enemy while not being able to get too close to them or be revealed. This took me a while to figure out as for a while I was having Gordon walk right up to the other Combine just to get his ass kicked! Made no sense. Also, I've noticed that the enemy has very good marksmanship. Too good in fact, as they seem to always hit me! That could be changed some, as well as the puzzle getting past the force fields in the city street. That took forever to make it through and I'm still not sure how I did it. Then there was the big alien creature in the street that was there one minute and gone the next. Confusing-another glitch? The construction site was good. I prefer outdoor settings to the hospital chase scene, but it went good with the storyline. When will V2 be done and will someone be making a walkthrough of both games any time soon? Need help from time to time and nobody seems to respond on here or via email. Thanks

After Gordon puts on the suit, how does he make it through the building with only a nightstick to fight 10 or so Combine and how does he make it out of this building?

I agree about the combine voices cringe! The mod was good but would have been awesome if there hadn't been so much going on at once - slowing my system down (anyone else have this problem)? That stalker bug is annoying!

Myself I set the filtering to a low mode, Trilinear, Bilinear or in rare cases x2 antrowhaddayamightcallit. This makes the game perform alot better, atleast for me.

hi dudes,
congrats to a great mod! it is well balanced and very pretty. i liked the custom textures and ads, especially those in the subway.

but i actually spotted a mistake, or bug or feature or whatever you want to call it. pretty close to the end, when you're supposed to stay on the small moving platforms and urged to hop/crouch to avoid the obstacles, you might as well turn left and pass through the gate from which the hanging coffins extrude. but in my opinion this is a peccadillo.

awesome mod, looking forward to V2!
greets
