Finally! The type of game you've always wanted to be able to play with a friend; Black Sierra is a cooperative horror survival game. A singleplayer horror experience designed specifically for 2-5 players. With an action packed gameplay, horrorific atmsopher, and an unknown enemy from the deep. Players will be pitted up against small groups of fast, agile and deadly creatures. Quick to take down, but hard to hit. Players will need to work together to make it through the various scenarios as they make it into dark forests, towns and more. Armed with high quality weaponary, such as the popular G36C, and M4 players will soon be required to scavenge civilian shotguns, rifles and pistols as ammunition is decreased.
Story:
High in the mountains of Black Sierra, recent mining activities have driven beasts of unknown origin from their underground lairs in fear. Unleashed upon the stocks of the secluded towns throughout the mountain, the creatures who have no reason to fear man spreads through the towns in a feeding frenzy. A few weeks later with various reports of missing persons, a team of Search and Rescue workers are sent up in a rescue effort, during a violent tranmission ending from the Search and Rescue workers, the county issues the mountain under unknown hostile attack. Your squad, a highly trained tactical unit from the state is sent up to the top of the mountain to rescue all personnel and eliminate the threat. After an encounter between your squad and the beasts, objectives are re-issued and it becomes your priorities to make it down the mountain alive. Reversing the usual process of making you start from the beginning and work your way to the end, Black Sierra sends you from the top to the bottom as you are sent from town to town to find any means of escaping the horrors alive.
Features:
- Lock and Load: With a vast range of real world weapons, both civilian and law enforcement related. These weapons will be balanced with the idea of realism, without forgetting what's fun. Weapons will feature various bonuses; iron-sights, red-dot, long lasting workable flashlights.
- Full-Out Atmosphere: Forests will be dense and dark, houses will be fully furnished, and towns will be desolate. Detail is the key, lighting, sounds, objects and more will all be detailed to give off a proper scare.
- Stare Death in the Face: Creatures that are faster than they are tough, quick to take down, but tough to hit. These creatures have the element of surprise and speed on their hands, with sharp talons and razorblade teeth the creatures of Black Sierra will lung, run, and stalk their prey (you!).
- A Playground of Death: With maps ranging from towns, to mines, and even to forests. We are sure you'll find a favourite map to go back.
- Full-Out Cooperative Play: No cheap gimmicks here, each and every map is designed for cooperative play, triggers, creatures, weapons, and more are all designed around the ability to play Black Sierra with friends. After all, cooperative play is a highly over looked experience, and we wish to bring that back.

In our Black Sierra update this month, we have a couple things to mention. One of the nicest changes we've made; happens to be the new website we've moved to. Yes, yes, we took everyone’s suggestion and got rid of the freewebs site. The new website will allow everyone to access everything all in one easy ad-free environment, this will include all our updates that we have here on Moddb, and some more exclusive information that will follow along the progress of production more closely. In addition to a much cleaner website, we've imbedded a new and professional forum in the same place.
As for actual game updates, Black Sierra has fixed the way it handles map switching. We've managed to link all maps together which allows for a quick ingame loading time, along with keeping all the information about the player, such as points, health, ammuniton and weaponry thoughout a whole game. This puts players into a position where a more logical approach is required to finish the campaign, as well as giving players a better reason to use team work. If a player rushes into battles, and loses health, his low-state of health will transfer to the next map resulting in higher chances of death later on.
We have also managed to put another weapon in-game, it is an effective fully automatic primary weapon that can be selected at the beginning of the game.
And that pretty much sums up our post this month, we appologize that it's a little small but we've been perfecting a few really big things this month that we're just not ready to show off yet. However, I promise it's actually a nice leap forward and it's coming along very steadily. We are all very hard at work here, and we hope everyone has enjoyed this update. So until next time, keep BSin'!

Cool mod, looking forward to it, keep up the good work, I surpose the KF players how have UT3 will be getting this mod too, like me.
Nice work, keep it up!
Very good graphics! I just hope the gameplay is there though. Gameplay matters the most!
Oh don't worry, gameplay is our key focus. It's why we haven't really been showing off any in-game action yet, we don't want to give off the wrong impression about how it'll be handled. So we're making sure it's really leveled out to the way we want it before we start showing it off.
This looks really cool hope it works out.
Oh my... I like... VOTE FOR MSU 2.O!
We are undable to release a date as some months go a tad slowly due to our real lives and a small team working. However, For such a small team I feel we've managed to get a whole lot of progress in the small amount of time (we've only been at this about four months!). But don't worry, our team won't just stop working.
Excellent to hear, as long as you guys just hook in and ENJOY it. And when you're getting down (if you're getting down) just look at the community behind you :)
I think I would like to see this dev team enter into the "make something unreal" competition, this mod would certainly get my votes.
I know you guys probably hate this question, but do you have an estimate of a release date, or at least what percentage you would say you are to being done? Its just that we have all seen so many mods with great potential like this one that just never come out :(
