StarCraft Heroes

Each universe needs heroes...
This mod will make StarCraft a roleplay-game.
This means that you will no longer command whole troops, you will only play one character. You can buy things and utilities you need during the game, and you will get help and support from other persons and creatures in the game.
StarCraft Heroes will be made of three thrilling campaigns, each presenting new, unknown heroes. Because this mod will be based up on StarCraft Gold and is in a way the sequel to it, the changes you might already know from that mod will be in here again. Also, the story will be just very, very slightly connected to the original StarCraft or Brood War. Blizzard will soon continue their story, so this is something different.
In 'Heroes', you can play for example as a Marine, and later in the game, you will also get the chance to play a Ghost or a Templar. Buying upgraded weapons and armor will be very important, so you will have to look out for weapon shops in every mission.
Now, let this mod surprise you... you will never feel it by reading - feel it by playing.

I just uploaded the mod to the ModDB server.
My work on that mod is done at last.
I hope you will enjoy it.
Do me a favor and comment and/or rate the mod.
I'm really wondering if I did a good job in your eyes.
That's it, folks :)

Um I cant play this for some reason is there anything im supposed download before I play it? Every time I try to play the campaign it always shuts down the game.
BW Patch 1.10 is required. Lower or higher patches might cause crashes. The patch is within the package.
In case you might have problems downgrading your game, here's a helpful zipfile powered by Modmaster50 ;)
Broodwarai.com
When i run 1.10, it says "This patch was not made for your version, 1.15.1"
However, i imaged the sc directory of version 1.07. Can I overwrite and then patch up?
How can you make a psi disrupter do upgrades without grafting? =-\
P.S.
What do moderators look for when authorizing a mod? Im currently waiting for authorization on my own mod, an expansion to Broodwar. Im attempting to enter territory not charted since the old CWAD days: Adding units to the techtree without compromising existing melee-game units. Its gonna be tough, but im gonna try.
The patch does not do any techtree modifications, of course :)
But as far as I know, the latest of Blizzard's patches change the way mods are loaded, some patches are even saied not to support mods any longer. I can't tell if that's right. If this is non-sense, please someone tell me :)
Anyway, Hereoes was developed for 1.10, so it will work best on that patch.
You can "reinstall" the patch just by running it. The game should be downgraded afterwards.
But that's as well within the readme file.
Ah i see. How will 1.10 make a difference as far as the shop though? The psi disrupter never had buttons. I dont see any grafting (techtree) modifications included in the file.
By the way, is reinstalling the only way to downgrade? I only got the patch to run on my version by changing the extension to ".mpq" and loading from MPQDraft. It was definately not just any normal SEMPQ patch.
Ummm...Is it just me, or does the shop not work? When I walk near it, it becomes mine, but it has no buttons or anything. So its useless! Im running this on version 1.15.1, so maybe thats the problem. Please help.=(
Oh yeah, I hate how "Dont attack" is an objective in 90% of the missions. =P
well nvm itw not a problem any more i just use the operation cwal cheat xD
I like this ,thank you!
Sorry, no idea what's going wrong there.
As long as you're the only one reporting about that problem, I'm afraid I have to assume this is a problem with your comp and not with the mod. Folders in your StarCraft directory called for example arr or rez might influence the mod.
Well for me it takes a long f*cking time -_-
But i use the patch i should and all...
