You have just escaped from a mental institution. You’re on the run. The sun is shining, the birds are singing. You are jumping happily from cloud to cloud. You know that the only way to freedom is by reaching the ship at the end of the level. A cute bunny is jumping towards you, blocking your path. By pushing a button the whole world flips around and shows its dark side. The bunny is now an evil nurse who is trying to stop you from getting away. You headbutt her, clearing your path. With a push of the button the world flips back and shows its light side again.

It has been almost two weeks since FLIPSIDE was presented in public for the first time after a month of intensive development. With the creation of our new website we decided it was time to spread the word and share the joy of FLIPSIDE with the world.
In FLIPSIDE the player takes on the identity of a mental patient with extreme mood changes who is planning his escape from the insane asylum in which he is being held. The imaginary escape through the landscape surrounding the insane asylum will bring him to safety on the ship from the people who want to take him back to the asylum.
The escape takes place in a world put together from cardboard pieces and jumping jacks decorated with magazine cuttings, stickers and other. Those objects come alive in his mind as he fantasizes about the obstacles he will face and how to defeat them.
With FLIPSIDE we attempted to beat Source into submission in order to make real a game world that was designed to try something different from what we have become used to with most games out there.

Good, I wish there were more levels. :( Also, nice concept.
I have to say that this is one of the extremely rare mods that I stopped playing out of frustration.
A mod that's hard to play is fine, but a mod that's hard to play and provides no save game mechanism (HL2 crashes when you try to save or load using the quicksave/load buttons) is not my favorite type of game.
It gets tedious very fast to have to start from scratch every time.
Other than that, it seems a lovely idea that's very nicely executed.
It was never meant as a full game/mod. And its not hard. And there's only one level so there's no point in saving.
It's revolutionary. Who could imagine platform games with Source engine? Flipside ambient seems a picture frame! This game must have a new version.
i just read about the game and thought ok this sounds interesting... then i watched a clip from it realised... de snakker sku dansk hehe
This is awesome..great idea guys and you implemented it really well. Great job!
Good mod, its a little too tough for me. probably b/c i dont like side scrollers that much. After messing w/ the controls for awhile i got a configuration that i liked which helped but those bees are impossible to beat :( and i havent found a check point yet so everytime i die i have to go back to the start which is annoying. Other than that the mod is really unique and i love having to switch between his good and evil sides to continue along. The visuals and sounds are also really great.
Maybe could you guys come out w/ a patch that has a difficulty setting...please.
I've never played a freakier mod. What really made it was all the danish, great stuff! I like how everything was so cute on the happy side, like the rabbits and he is like "aw kanin" then you flip sides to get past it and it's an evil nurse with rabbit ears. I haven't finished the game yet, it's quite hard and I'm not used to the control but it's very enjoyable. 10/10!
Also, I love that the only attack is a "dansk skalle" ;).

Ok played now. All I can say is Sweeeeet! Very very cool. Too bad its only one level. It would nice to see a mod team take this over.
