Urban Warfare Launches for 2008!
We're excited for a new year of modding! Urban Warfare will be officially releasing at some point in 2008. We will do our best to keep you updated with what's the go amongst our modding team and game progress. Support us by spreading the word!
Update: A brand new website located at www.uwmod.com is currently under construction! We will keep you posted on its' progress!
A Battlefield 2142 total conversion modification.
In the near future the people of the world will rise up against the police run states, forming a semi-organised militia, they are versing a better trained, better equipped opposition, but they have support, armed and led by the group U.P.M (United Peoples Movement), classified as a terrorist organisation by the G.P (Government Police) but as freedom fighters by everyone else. Despite the overwhelming odds against them, the U.P.M are holding back the powerful G.P forces through strength of will and overwhelming numbers of people everywhere rising up! Who will you be? The G.P forces striving to maintain their great civilization or the United Peoples Movement looking for a change in their lives, you choose...
Depending on how much support we get we may consider creating new maps. At the moment we are open for recruitment, we only have a small team at the moment.....
UPDATE: New exciting game mode has been built and undergone testing; it works!
First guns are in-game and working, screen-shots coming soon....
Work has begun on our first soldier model.
Check out our mods unofficial trailer at: Youtube.com
In-game menu successfully altered.
A few new pieces weaponry are in their final stages and will soon be put in-game.
We have finally succeeded in making a map for our mod, it is in it's internal testing stage.

Well, it's been about 3 months since our last Moddb news update so we thought we might fill you all in on some of what we've been doing.
After the loss of our primary modeler we all had to chip in a little more to make up for that setback. Our concept artist, Marc Johnston seemed to take this to heart and thanks to him we have some amazing new additions to our mod. We have completely changed the in-game menu, which as you can see, look amazing (to me at least ;) )
Work on the concept art for our elite G.P soldier has begun. The concept (below) was done by Marc. This is going to be completely re-modeled.
We're also welcoming three new modelers to our team, Carlos Gravier who'll be modeling those infantry models and Joseph H. and 'Skullknocker' who we're currently trialling.
On another note we are still aiming to release Urban Warfare around November so keep your eyes on us!

hmm peope may bitch about making a mod set in modern day, but for fucks sake we live in that era! Keep up the good work guys. I am pretty sure the mod is going to get some cool ideas.
Hey all. I'm from another mod (Tractionwars) - I like the concept art, and I'm glad to see you guys are setting yourselves targets that are attainable; probably a good policy, and maybe we should do the same :p
I noticed you guys had an mp5 in-game, complete with ironsights... I wondered if your modelling guy could point me in the right direction for a tutorial on getting guns to work properly with IS's in 2142 - it'd be much appreciated. Either Private Message me on our forums (I believe JangoFett has an account, and if you've lost the link it's here: Tractionwarsmod.com) or email me at fil.oracle@gmail.com ... As I say, a pointer in the right direction would be *very* helpful, and maybe we'll be able to help you out sometime :p
