Rogue Phoenix is the ultimate revival of a gaming legacy and legend.
The original Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, released in 1999, proved to be one of the finest tactical shooters, if not the finest, ever created.
The objective of this mod is to bring back the original game-play style and Team Rainbow to the Quake 3 engine and show what is possible with the unlimited nature of the Quake 3 Engine.
By using the Quake 3 Engine, we will have the capabilities of a creating a Rainbow that provides the enhanced "netcode" that everyone complains Rainbow 6 lacked. Some other notable features that will be included for "free" would be improvements to the rendering engine, such as per-pixel lighting (Compliments of the Q3-Evolution Engine)
We want to create a game that will bring back the original game of Rainbow to an engine that will be best for Rainbow's full potential.

With the current fixes to the engine, dynamic lighting is proving to be a key factor in beautifying the game-play of Rouge Reborn.
The ability to have bump maps and specular maps are great in certain situations, but the plastic appeal doesn't fit the atmosphere - We are deciding to leave them out for the most part and use them when deemed necessary.
The MP5K-PDW has been tested in game and is working, as you can tell by the screen-shot. With that said, Killhouse Double has been fully ported and now lighting is being implemented. The next weapon to be ported will more than likely be a pistol.
The old fashion center-view is available. The third person code is being worked to fit the old style game-play of Rogue Spear.
