Terrario mod for Far Cry

Terrario es un proyecto de Arte Chileno patrocinado por Fondo para el Desarrollo de las Artes y la Cultura ( FONDART ) y su fecha de inaguracíon sera el 5 de Marzo del 2007 en Santiago de Chile.

Múltiples usuarios conectados através de una página web, alterarán el comportamiento de los animales de un ecosistema generado por el motor de Farcry. El servidor web tomará los datos y los enviara a una sala de exposisiones donde los script de comportamiento de la IA serán modificados, alterando el ecosistema presentado por 10 monitores con disitintas vistas del paisaje donde ocurre la acción. Terrario esta ambientado en la precordillera de la zona central de Chile, presentando sus características geográficas, de flora y fauna.

Carácteristicas especiales:

- Conexión de una pagina web y el motor de Farcry através de una base de datos dinámica.

- Nuevas entidades de inteligencia artificial.

- Iluminación dinámica para todos los objetos. Paso del dia y la Noche.

- Nuevos modelos, animaciones y texturas

- Alta calidad gráfica, aprovechando todas las capacidades de Cryengine.

Terrario is a Visual Arts project developed in Chile and financed by FONDART Arts and Culture Developing Funds. Its launch will be on March 5th, at Santiago de Chile.

Multiple users connected to a web page will handle the behaviour of the different animals of a landscape created in CryEngine. The web server wil take the data entered by the users and it will send it to a Art Gallery, where several machines will be running our mod of FarCry. The mod will modify the AI Behaviours using the webserver data, and will show the action to the Gallery's visitors using 10 LCD viewscreens. Terrario represents a Landscape from the foothills of the Central Zone of Chile, showing its geographical morphology and wildlife.

Special Features:

-connection between the website and the CryEngine using dynamic database.

-New AI entities from scratch.

-Dynamic Lighting for all objects. Day-Night Cycle.

-New models, animations and textures.

-High I.Q., using the most of the features of CryEngine.
