Will you be a living legend or a forgotten casualty? MechWarrior:Living Legends (MWLL) is a total conversion modification for Crysis, MWLL is at its very core a mix between a First Person Shooter (FPS) and a Simulation (SIM). This will be achieved through the use of a mixed arms massively multiplayer gaming experience where the player takes part in a battle using a variety of vehicles and weapons MWLL is using the concepts pioneered by the “Battlefield” franchise and more recently Crysis, of a sandbox feel where you get to play what you want and how you want it. MWLL depicts the epic struggles between the two factions of Battletech “The Clans” and “The Inner Sphere” In the project we will be bringing some of the legends of MechWarrior back to life.

By the 31st century, humanity has spread to thousands of worlds, while a handful of powerful empires wage war for the right to rule the stars. Foremost among the weapons used in that struggle are BattleMechs. Loaded with charged-particle beam weapons, these fusion-powered war machines of articulated armor stand upward of fourteen meters tall. Piloting them are MechWarrior’s.Like the armored knights of an earlier age, MechWarrior’s are popular heroes, and their exploits are the stuff of Legends.

Just EPIC! This is awesome. The trailer is great and i love the contest idea and how the winning clan will actually be in the game! This is very promising.

Its probably better that many clans are posted instead of just one. If it was just one it would most likely grow quickly and become a monopoly of sorts. I think having in game posters for clans will really get the clans moving quickly and help them develop. Great idea guys.

Great looking newspost. Really liked the straving runs on the groundpounders and the dropship.
I do have a question though: Is it possible to man turrets and the like in a dropship for example?
Also is there going to be a feature in which a player is a commander like in Battlefield 2?

Again great work and will be looking forward to seeing more! :)

Looking great, cant' wait for release. Also, was the music in your trailer a sample of in-game music?

no, the music was actually a score from the transformers movie. We are not ready yet to use any of our own music.

I must say, that video is very impressive. I have been playing BattleTech/Mechwarrior from they days of the board game, and you seem to be capturing the look and feel of the game. Keep up the excellent work.

Thanks :) In many ways we use battletech (as in the tabeletop/board game) as more of a referance then Mechwarrior. Thats why we are not just a "Mechwarrrior" mod but a battletech mod.

Its actually kind of funny because a lot of people don't realize that Mechwarrior was based off a tabeltop game.

Absolutely fantastic guys. I had so little faith and that this would end up as another group of know-it-alls who started a Battletech mod only to drop it once things got difficult. Glad to see myself proven wrong.

Also, the new laser FX looks fantastic! The biggest problem with laser FX in most games is that there is no reaction at the hit point. You guys seem to have put in some smoke and flashing FX which should give great visual feedback. Ya'll should Amp it up even more with Particles and a loud "*crack* on impact. Just firing a weapon in any game should be fun and addictive in and of itself. You want to feel powerful and that you are doing damage. It's the one thing many devs seem to not understand.

anyhow, good luck and keep up the good work.

Thank you for all the comments guys. The lasers do look cool don't they? I love them. The sound right now is just a placeholder so don't worry about that. They will have more "umph." Having the weapons feel like weapons and the 'mechs feel like 'mechs is one thing we are trying hard to get right.

And you are right, we are not a bunch of "know it alls." Combined we just know it all :D Lol just kidding. We are completly open to comments, ideas, and criticisms (which we tend to appreciate more) so be sure to go to our site and post some feedback and ideas!
