Update from Hok'Ta(Lead Coder of SGMG):
It was planned to release the next version at the end of this month, but unfortunately there are some important things that simply can't be finished till then!
What is still to do:
- 2 or 3 minor models
- some sounds and the sound level of some others
- german and english texts
- space maps so the new buildings appear on the maps
- some icons
- most work is the codes:
- what is buildable on which planet
- events
- generally balancing
- general stuff
- some effects
Finally we must make a test run to find the last bugs...
I beg for appreciation that we can't accomplish it! It is mostly my fault but i'm working every free minute on this mod! I would estimate that we need 3 or 4 more weeks to finish it completely as we want it to be.
We will inform you about the process of the mentioned things!

and what may i ask makes me a "Pure grade a suck up. 100%" Is it because i complemented the creators on their work, or is it because i was asking questions that people are wondering about, but are not willing to ask because of everyones attitude.
You were bashing them earlier. Saying they were taking to long to make this mod. Then you turn around and try to play it off like you didnt do or say anything. Thats why i said what i said.
i was not bashing, i was asking them what was causing the delays in the development of the mod. And no where did i say i did not say anything. I admit i was wondering what was going on with the mod, and then you go and turn around what i said like it is an insult and that i should apologize for it.
In many episodes they target the weapons so it would be closer to the series to let them as target
@ming600 well you can set it so that you cant target them, but they are still destructible.
getting rid of hardpoints would be stupid what would be the fun in the tv series the weapons are always being destroyed
Yes, it's area damage but that also makes no sense because you'll hit other ships too that are near by the target.
Believe me, we have tried every single possibility, but nothing is really perfect.
Only in FoC the Ori beam could work perfectly.
@Mistapoopoo : You could do that. Just depends on how much work you are willing to do. Not that editing the ori weapon would be very hard.
On the community version sometimes an ori weapon will effect multiple hardpoints at once, i dont know how but my speculation is that its something to do with an area effect, instead of getting rid of hardpoints it might be possible to put in area effects
if you wish to know how to make the hardpoints go away i could tell you
amen brother. A simple walktrough would appreciated. But don't worry, I'll just wait until the next release.
