Really, really impressive. Can't wait for this.
The animation played there really give the creature life, I presume that is played at a slower frame to show every detail of the animation. Looks neat hope to see more.
The original animation reel was not great as far as pacing. I made the animator rush it to be ready for MOTY; The animation didn't need to be polished.. it was just for show so people could see the potential.
I made him exaggerate the lip curl a bit so it would show more.. not much time to perfect it.
His pacing still didn't improve after numerous retrys so I did a quick video edit of the rendered video instead. The only thing that could be fixed is the part where it starts to lean back.. that could be edited to move faster, but I think it was good enough to meet expectations for MOTY.
Our official animations for the game will have far more time and effort put into than this so you can definitely expect better results in animation from us. ;)

hmm, sounded like you had a remix of the soundtrack at the beginning, layered after a fade out with the raw sound effect from the bonus features area of the DVD of jurassic park....idk if this is smart, to the casual party, they would consider you just dumped the sound straight from the copyright DVD :)

If one of those things sneaks up on me in game, Ill miss about 5 shots in panic with a spas 12 just in spite of fear then regroup with my brain and empty the remaining 3 shells into its cranium :)
I am going to love this. In Trespasser, the raptors scared me even though it wasn't that realistic looking at all...but this...will be awesome.
Looking good guys, but again, you need to work on your weight as it's not convincing at all right now. Study how animals shift their weight while moving.
We most definately will. This was more a rushed demonstration of our model so far. The model isnt complete, and the animation is only conceptual.
Very cool though it is so far. Can't wait to see the final thing in all it's glory.
wow, i think that is just amazing even as just a concept... i wish i could run crysis... I also think there should be more noise in between sounds because it doesn't sound very realistic for complete silence, and I'm sure you guys will get the timing down alot better
Well having just read that the animation isn't a complete one, it is rushed, I would say it's pretty good for a basic animation.
I certainly do hope that the final animation will be much more life like, that was very robotic.
