Unsung heroes: Korea is an modification for BF1942 based on historical and military accuracy, the subject being; the Korean war of 1950-3 of course. the forgotten war, a subject that is often over looked, but interesting none the less. the following is a list of vehicles that we plan to have in game (some of which are already in BF1942)

  • Jeep- Light recce/Transport

other factions may be added later.
So you may ask, 'why BF1942?' well, a number of reasons, for instance, since the BF42 engine and graphics are older, things like increasing draw distance, more accurate ballistics, and game physics would be easier to run, especially for older computers, than they would on newer games. and to be honest its just easier too work with. Though versions for BFV, BF2, and even Red Orchestra have been discussed, may be embarked upon in the future, after the successful completion, and release, of this version. until then though this mod team will continue to work in BF42.

I imagine you must already be aware of the Battlefield Korea mod (although I have no idea why it's being made by a German mod team).

of course, but one this is for BF1942 not BF2, second the BFK team refuses to communicate with me for some odd reason. and third and most important we're an independent mod team with our own separate goals and take on how to correctly portray the Korean war.

Right, well. In any case, I'm a modeller with experience in 3dsm. I've also done some mapping in bf1942. I haven't quite figured skinning out though. You can see samples on my moddb profile. I also have an interest in the time period and subject matter. I've been fairly busy lately with school but I may be able to do some work for you guys if you need it.

look, the reason we don't have proper uni's for the Chinese is because we dont have any one who can model and skin them. but if you know some one who can I would love for them to help us, right now we're more in need of uni's for NK soldiers as the new Inchon map is ready.
