Back in 2005, the idea for a sidescrolling deathmatch mod was born on the Half Life Improvement Forums. Named Ragnarok Arena, it featured weapons and locations from many Half Life mods, squeezing them all into one massive multiplayer experience.
Enjoy a trip back to a time when bleeding edge graphics didn't matter, and where the idea of a third dimension was only dreamed of. Ragnarok Arena allows you to jump miles, gib your friends into little pieces with rockets and actually have a fighting chance without having the discomfort of having to move around on that stupid x axis.
In fact, Ragnarok Arena is being tested with many gaming pads with great results. Enjoy the ability to frag your friends from across the globe with a gaming controller, like the good old days (Though replacing "Friends from across the globe" to "That fat guy sitting on your couch").
Play on it. And then tell your friends to play on it. Basically, make those numbers go up.

Ragnarok Arena, a sidescrolling deathmatch mod for Half Life has released it's third beta and it's a day early! How many times do mods manage to release BEFORE their projected release date?
In any case, the development team assures everyone downloading that the biggest nagging issues of the first two betas have been corrected and as such, the mod has become a major blast to play. With such silly issues having been fixed we ask everyone who was turned away by improper aiming and lack of options to at least give the mod another shot. As for those of you who have never played the mod before: Well. It's a sidescrolling game where you kill all your friends over the internet. We think that at least warrants a try.
