Nuclear Dawn is a modification for Valve’s Source engine that combines visceral and violent First Person Shooter action with fast-paced Real Time Strategy in the aftermath of an apocalyptic war. You can choose the mission or lead the attack as a commander, marshalling resources and deploying weapons and equipment for your team to use. You can storm a building as an assault trooper, cling to the shadows and rely on your active camouflage as a stealth, or unleash terrible firepower from a powered suit of exo-armor. You have the responsibility and the power to decide the outcome of every engagement. If your opponents are lucky there will be enough of them left to bury.

Did you ever wonder about the bigger picture of FPS/RTS multiplayer mod Nuclear Dawn? -The world outside of the battlefield, the history outside of the moment? Some of you have come here because you want to fight for a cause -for the Consortium or the Empire- others have been brought here by circumstance.

On the Story section of the website, historians are still trying to piece together an account of the political and military events leading up to the present. For the rest of us ?the soldiers who fought in the war and the children who lived through it? we have no memory of the decisions that went on at the top. We saw the war at ground level, gutting our cities and tearing our families apart. On the Fan Fiction section of the forums, some of us have given each other glimpses of the fear, the fray and the fury we have been through.

The latest news is that we?ve revealed more of the story behind the events leading up to the post-apocalyptic Nuclear Dawn as well as opening the Fan Fiction forum so that you can share your own stories with us. very sad vision of the future, but therefore also interesting, because it's based on real facts and shows a possibility of how global conflicts could escalate. Looks very promising, good luck for your project. I'm sure gonna play it :)
