First Strike is a Star Wars total conversion modification for Battlefield 2142. The goal of First Strike is to totally immerse the players into the amazing universe of Star Wars by presenting the most accurate representations of famous Star Wars locales, weapons, and characters, and combining them with exciting, fast paced gameplay and features new to the Battlefield scene. Within this mod you'll find yourself as a soldier of the Galactic Empire or as a freedom fighter for the Rebel Alliance. You'll fight across lovingly detailed recreations of various Star Wars locations with a wide array of weapons and vehicles.
One side will have to strike first, for that team will have the greatest advantage...or will it?

We have a recent Developer Diary created by FSDev| HaVoC which illustrates his time on the mod and his current progress. This may be found HERE. The FirstStrike Team is gearing up for some very special news soon for all those who are anticpating playing the Mod soon so stayed tuned for that in the coming weeks.
Testing is currently going very well, production is at an all time high and with the addition of some newer talented members we are making fantastic progress. Kudos to Grey, Dawdler, YoshiBoy, DNAMRO,Mattes Mr GuyBrush and Jime for getting stuck in and making things happen.

omg this mod looks so bloody good i want to no how long till it is released coz im dying to play it so bad lol :D so plz right back and say how long it is going to be
This mod looks really professional, I will definately be one of the first to download. Keep up the good work.
Yes the rendering will be so much better these are ingame shots in BF2 and as you know with the new shaders and specular lighting available they will look so much better.

Now, the BF2142 tree's look better than this...the ground texturing looks better too, as does the water effects, as compared to that waterfall.
naturally, the massive ammounts of rendering required as it IS a forest is fairly formidable, but is it necissary to make the tree's look that ehh?
and the endor bunker screenshot is reminecent of quake3. massive ammounts of antialiasing needed or other reasons?
the textures on the interiors also look subpar.
now all that said. great modeling, greating mapping, great concepts, great work in general. really looking forward to this. just wondering if the texturing is gonna be as is, because BF2142's engine is capable of much more.
Well TITAN, CONQUEST and some very special FIRSTSTRIKE GAMEMODES, such as BOUNTYHUNTER, EVACUATION and others! Watch this space :)
