The new models and sounds are pretty good. The new .357 model is very nice.
The normal zombie is way to strong now, ladders don't work properly, the game crashed when I tried to save, and you should add autosave points. Really annoying having to start the entire map over again.
Overall it's pretty good, but it still needs more work.
Yeah, really cool, what is in the mod. But what is it built for? Do you recreating the E3 maps or do you want to build your own story??
Going to guess at no checkpoint style autosaving as that would crash the game when the save process fails to create the save image, which is what is causing the crashes during saving.
Nah. I looked really hard for one too. I'm not a programmer but I was hoping that there was a console variable in game to disable them. Could not find one for the life of me. Sorry.
Good news ! The new model and weapons are pretty good work
In my use, the quicksave function works -but- crashes the program. Once I reload City 17, I can select my last quicksave and continue.
Maybe this helps.
Otherwise, so far it is a pretty cool game (but the zombies _are_ too hard... I dunno if that is on purpose or not.)
I tried to play it, but:
- quick save = crash
- loading after dying = crash
- 0.5 FPS in most areas for no obvious reason
- you cannot make single zombies a harder target by giving them 4 times the health, it just takes longer to finish them; fast zombies is the way to go
- in the first map i cannot go through the white light at the end of the tunnel. It is made of some glass but wont break.
- it is very hard to jump around the corner in the back end of the tentacle room
OTHERWISE the gameplay was fun. I'd play it again when it leaves beta status.
