Announcing Final Front: Iris Offensive for Red Alert 3! Formerly exclusively for Star Wars: Empire at War, the Final Front team has decided that the time has come to move on to the power of Red Alert 3. We have not totally abandoned Empire at War - at least, not yet. Details are still being worked out in this regard.

With the Red Alert 3 Engine, we have the power to go where no mod could go before on EAW. As we go about building the mod though, we are going to strive to bring good features from EAW over to Red Alert 3. 

Final Front: Iris Offensive is a 3D RTS mod, set in the Stargate universe. Experience battles as never before, with stunning visuals and realistic battle control. There are two paths to take: You can conquer and enslave the Galaxy as the Goa'uld, or fight for freedom with the Tau'ri and their allies. Which way will you turn? The choice is yours.

For planetary bombardment you could just have a f-302 fly over and drop a nuke or something. SOmething like what they did for FIrst Strike in Sga or you could use a missile carrier like the one in first stirke that deploys the missiles one at a time

That is a good idea, have slammer missiles for space and some type of bomb for ground maps. That way both sides are balanced, bomber and fighter wise.

Then how about a 302 with a diferent kind of armament? A Fighter like that could probably be quite easily modified to carry a different payload of missiles.

Yes, the Al'kesh is the Goa'uld class of bomber. I was talking about an Earth bomber; it would make sense to have one as there is a bomber for the Goa'uld but not one for Earth and their allies. A SLAMMER missile(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIM-120_AMRAAM) is an Air to Air missile, not an air to ground missile.

As for quality, yes, our ships are of very high quality. :) Plus they're all low-poly, so it will be easier for people with low-end computers to play the mod. Unfortunately, we dont' have a dedicated texture artist at the moments, so we're lacking in textures. :( If you know of anyone who can help, please send them our way!

And finally, you need enough of a variety of ships to use. I agree that people do tend to concentrate on one class of ship in EAW, but some ships are better than others(for example the broadside cruiser and the Marauder missle cruiser are better at taking out long range targets). Hopefully, we will be able to balance the game such that people will not use only one class of ship.
