After a long, bloody war in the Sudan, the governments of the United States and Russia struck an uneasy cease-fire over the fate of Africa and its burgeoning industry. This peace would be short lived, for to the north a new conflict was brewing. Ukraine, a former satellite state of the Soviet Union, sought to gain back the power from which it once reveled in. As the snow fell in a heavy midwinter storm, Ukrainian troops moved towards the border of Belarus. Without warning, Ukrainian troops attacked with a speed and effectiveness not seen since the blitzkrieg of WWII.

We would like to begin by informing our community that our website & forums will be migrating this weekend beginning at 10:00 am EST to a new server. Our host has provided a more robust server to handle our web traffic in preparation of our initial release and to handle the high volume our website has been encountering.. We do appreciate the great support that Hypernia provides to our mod team and to the gaming community. They have been very busy as they have also moved their Miami, Florida data center to a newly built Hurricane protected data center.

Another announcement we would like to make is that [tR]Greasy_Mullet has taken over as the Lead Level Designer. SgtWedge has stepped down as the lead and has decided his time will be better served designing levels and doesn?t have the time needed to lead due to some real life obligations. These two have been doing a great job on designing the POE:2 levels so this week we?ll start with screenshots of [tR]Greasy_Mullet?s Fallen map. This map caters to the infantry only warfare players and will keep you on your toes. The map is spread over a wooded foot hill area and has a lot trees, rocks, bomb craters, and undergrowth that players will be able to use to cover their movements.

For transportation we haven?t forgotten about providing something small and light to drive around in. The Ukraine team will have the Uaz-3151 available to do some good old 4x4 driving. This has been set to carry 4 players in it.

We saved this beauty for last. The Ukraine team will have the BMP-2 Infantry Fighting Vehicle to provide support against ground Targets. This rust bucket has been coded to carry 6 players to the battlefield.
