This is a Total Conversion mod for the upcoming game Star Wars: Empire at War from Petroglyph Studios. It is a Starship Troopers mod, but it is much differnt then your usual brand of SST. For the first time ever fight on the ground, in the air, or in the silence of space.
Choose your side: The Mobile Infantry, or the Arachnid Army.Each side has the old favorites, and of brand new units out there. This mod will take all you know about Starship Troopers and blow it out your nose.

I have some very bad news for fans of the Starship Troopers mod.
Today our forums were hacked and destroyed, taking away most of our data. We lost alot of information, images, and other things that we were working on. I am very sorry to say this but I might have to shut down the mod...
Or I can stand with my team, Team Storm, and say that we will not just die because of a stupid hacker destroys our forums. I say NO!
Let me make this clear, THIS-MOD-WILL-NOT-DIE!
we still are still in need of some help in the form of talented skinners and graphic artists. If anyone can help please contact us.
We will get a new forums, eventually, and the site will still be up, even as messy as it is, I will keep trying to get updates out. But for those who need to see proof: I believe that this is in order. Straight from Vengence here comes CHAS.

i've been reading the book, and it is NOTHING like the movie! Completely different, except for a few small things (i.e. the names of most characters, asides, everything else is different)
P.S. Read it! It's actuually good. Really.
4 possibilites.
1) The mod will be taken over by someone else and eventually finished. Possible, but unlikely.
2) The mod is dead and any work done will never be released. Most likely.
3) The mod is dead and the assets will eventually be released. Least likely.
4) The mod will be finished and released eventually. Possible, but unlikely.
It's a shame because this was a great idea and the work done so far is great looking. They should follow the Battlestar Galactica Mods lead and release something to pick up some interest. Maybe they could gather some help. It worked for that mod.

First of all, I think that they had the guy who wrote the book help with the movie or something. 2nd of all, can someone PLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEE tell me when this mod is coming out?
I HAVE ONE QUESTION. when they made the starship troopers movie how did they know what the guy who made the book know what the bugs looked like ???
and again in ALIENS why do they say ITS ANOTHER BUG HUNT what r those marines refrerring too???
power suit idea #2 is the one i think looks most like what hienlen had in mad when he described it. it needs a nuke rack on the back and jets but other wise looks greatl I think this will be a great mod . can't wait.

Well if you heard the saying before you read the book it would probly mean something more like looking for something thats not there or a problem in the computer systems, since the colony did stop transmiting.
But the alines are not refered to as bugs but by there taxonamy name "Xenomorph". Xeno meaning "Alien" and Morph meaning "To change". (if I rembere my taxonamy correctly)
But the truth is drone that Ive practly read every alien comic, played all but 2 of the alien games, wached the moves at least 40 times each,and have numerous toys from when I was younger.....Ok im not that old right now. so that is how I know the two are not linked.
