Imagine a game in which you don't know who to trust, you don't know who may be about to kill you, in fact you don't even know who is human and who is artificial. Played online, your quarry is another human player but can you find them amongst the AI inhabitants of the Ship? Once you know who they are, find yourself a weapon but keep an eye out for security guards and cameras. If you're spotted trying to murder someone you'll be transported to the Brig and suffer a hefty fine. If you succeed in killing your quarry Mr. X will reward you with a cash prize, depending on how entertaining he found your murder. At the same time you must look after yourself, wash, sleep, eat and have fun and remember - always look over your shoulder because somewhere there's a player looking for you!
This classic mod is now a standalone game built on the source engine.

Scottish-based Games Developer Outerlight would like to announce the release of a new version of their Half-Life 1 mod – The Ship. The first release of this unique first-person stalk and murder game has been well received and several significant improvements have been made for the second release.
The new version can be downloaded from - Theshiponline.com
• The game now functions properly using Valve’s Steam system.
• With the shutdown of WON all servers will now run on Steam.
• Includes two new maps – Aurora and Argo.
• Many issues with the old maps fixed – Daedalus and HMS Redrum.
• Quarry assignment system has been altered to prevent constant quarry changes.
• Many exploits have been fixed, for example it is no longer possible to avoid jail time or cash penalties by quitting the game and rejoining.

the ship sorce wont go far its a gay mod if its pay for the game the ship hl1 was good but p2p eh kindas gay now
There is nothing on the FAQ that links to anything that I see and that's not The Ship's official site. That's some jolt.uk bs. They forgot totally about their original HL1 mod players and I doubt they really care since they will be racking in the cash soon enough.

Congratulations on selling out. The half-life 2 mod will cost money and it's almost impossible to find out anything about the old HL1 mod version on the site.

This mod needs more love, I truely love it. Though people are more concentrated on killing thier quarry, and not for filling thier character needs, let alone if your alone you will be to busy watching your back. :D
I'd give this a 10/10. Also, can anyone update me on what is the most latest release verson? Is it 52 or whatever?
I uploaded the latest HL version mod client, and Play\Server guides - now, where the f*** are they?

How come the update page wont work for me havent ever tryed the ship and it looks like an awsome game. the update for the uk server is always down!
