Troopers: Dawn of Destiny is a Total Conversion for Unreal Tournament 2004 that crosses the boundary line between Game and Experience to bring you an atmospheric, involving, multiplayer-based tactical first-person shooter set in the fictional universe that has been at the heart of science fiction for over thirty years. Sporting an exciting combination of all-new playable characters; breathtaking, groundbreaking battlefields; completely authentic and technically realistic weaponry; and both old and new modes of team-oriented gameplay; Troopers completely revamps UT2004, turning the game into a supportive platform for a completely new breed of Star Wars experience. 5 is the current release, but the team is hard at work preparing more content for the mod including but not limited to new weapons, maps, models, and Vehicles. Come experience the galactic civil war.

After many years of hard work, we are proud to bring you Troopers: Dawn of Destiny (version 6), a total conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. Though the team has changed over the years, the heart and drive behind it has not.

This drive has had a magnetic effect. It brought back others with renewed visions of what Troopers could and would some day be. We have had testers become devs, and retired devs, several holding down paying jobs in the gaming industry, who have come back to us as testers in their free time. It has been a grand learning experience for all of us involved, and more importantly, we have had fun.

Today we are ready to show off the fruits of our labors, and we hope those of you who choose to join us will have as much fun playing Troopers, as we did building it. In our previous news post we gave you a taste of what to expect in this latest build. However, we feel it takes more than words to describe the epic experience that Troopers can now bring you. Several major changes to base systems have been made, so this is not the Troopers you remember. However we hope to show you that this Troopers is better because of it.

Featuring all new weapons, and aiming system (say good bye to cross hairs). New vehicles, both ground and space, and new maps bringing you excitement right out of the movies. We'll be seeing you on the front lines of a galactic civil war, in a galaxy far far away.... over the barrel of a burning hot blaster rifle.

Any better download site available, it said it would take 4 hours 28 minutes to download this mod on one of the Fileplanet download links, and that’s too long to wait I think, last time I did one of these downloads it got halfway and just stopped downloading.

Stars out!

I'm trying to get a moddb mirror up, but I keep getting errors. I might have another member of the team try.

Its 415 or so MB, and there is no single player storyline besides the one each map represents.
The Objective game type, has you and your team tasked to complete objectives to get to the next step, and ultimately win. If you can..Thats why having Humans on your side usually helps alot, even though the command list if pretty comprehensive for the bots.
Most of these objectives have time constraints, and all of the maps have FULL BOT support. :D Which means the Devs have taken the already smart UT A.I. and taught it some new tricks, like throwing thermal detonators, sniping you from across a gorge, healing you when you call for Bacta, launching torpedoes up your exhaust port.. [sorry, I couldn't resist that last one]
So you can download it [and they are trying to get more file hosts] play offline, or one of the online servers you'll automatically see in the UT browser- or create your own server. There are currently about 3 up, both coasts of the U.S., one supposedly coming for the E.U. soon.

That's about all I know as I am a lowly beta tester and not having much to do with P.R. [thanks Yoshiro for coming back in time of need]
wOOt! HAve fun!!!
