The Northern Excursion mod (once called the "Extreme Realism" mod) is a game-enhancement mod that introduces a new faction, the "North American Coalition" (NAC), re-introduces the jet fighter/bomber air vehicle types from Battlefield 2 and also brings back old features which were left out of the original Battlefield 2142 such as stationary machine guns, visual effects, unused voice overs and more.

• The helmet you see in these heavy armoured soldier images were for the Recon kit, but we decided to give the NAC faction reskined EU helmets/kits instead.

One of the hardest things we've tried to get for this mod are some unique, high-detailed, futuristic-themed heavy and light armoured soldiers for the new North American Coalition faction. I mean, talented modellers and texture artists don't grow on trees, they are hard to find. We couldn't believe our luck when a fan of the mod, yone (who had actually gone looking for people to help us out), had found a talented person who could do both jobs in a relatively short amount of time.
We cannot thank him enough for the work he has done for us and we wish there were more people like him willing to work for mods.
1. Diggin the ODST breastplate
2. throw some multicam on this guy.
3. scrap the helmet.
"3. scrap the helmet"
Excuse me?
What's wrong with the helmet? It's perfectly fine.
wafflewarrior7 this isn't a bull **** fantasy like gears of war, it's an obligation for soldiers to where head protection at all times during combat.
No he means "replace" the helmet with a better helmet, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Sure it's a little big, but who cares? Let it grow on you as you play the mod, you'll eventually accept it and think of a reason why it's big or something.
Oh okay. But yeah, I see nothing wrong with this helmet.
