The Phalanx CIWS is an anti-ship missile defense system. It is a close-in weapon system (CIWS) and was designed and manufactured by the West Tek devision of Raytheon. Consisting of a radar-guided 20mm Gatling gun and missile system, mounted on a swivelling base. C-RAM is effectively a land version of the Phalanx CIWS.
These turrets are completely automated, being controlled by an npc.
