Imagine a world where the Allies didn't win the war, nor did the Axis. Instead, the war just continued on and on in an unsteady stalemate. Welcome, to the world of 1949. In this world Germany decided not to bomb London, but instead continued its attacks on Britain's airfields. Then, the Russians lost at Kursk. Finally, D-Day fails. With these victories, Germany has managed to halt the Allie's progress. In the Western Theatre, the Allies and the Axis each plan the invasion of the other's vital territories. In the Pacific, Japan and the United States are dueling over tiny islands with giant fleets and atomic weapons. Now, the stalemate is about to be broken. Germany is preparing an all out invasion of Britain. As tough and valiant as the Allied troops defending the Sceptered Isle are, some of their leaders are beginning to that they will be unable to hold against the Wehrmacht.

You should really remake the wheels. The alpha map looks kinda weird and one wheel is floating in the air.

Yeah, that's fairly high on my list of finishing touches for this model.

I think it should be given at least 1 MG...The Germans had learned as far back as 1943 that no defensive MG's is a bad idea with the Ferdinand Heavy TD, correct me if I'm wrong

Ferdinand would light its self on fire, no need for Russian infantry, just make it climb a hill!

True that, but it could have been another armoured vehicle. That has to do with the powerplant/weight/suspension of the vehicle. You have to be a fool to create a tank without a coaxial or at least a hull MG in 1949. Especially with something like the E-50, which would surely have faced a variety of targets, from dug in infantry to tanks to AT guns to swift armoured cars, from the open steppes in the East to the hedges of the west.

Ok first of all relax...

Second of all this is the 1949 mod, the mod kinda focuses on weaponry that never quite got to serve in WWII, but existed in prototypes and as drawings.

The E-50 was certainly being planned and as such makes a great addition to this mod.

And for your information Americans get access to the M46 medium tank as the next evolution of the M26 Pershing

1. The Superpershing? It's being added, though America and the Allies seem to win too easily and too often at the moment, so I either need to nerf their factions or buff the Axis.

2. Several of those experimental American tanks will be in the game.

3. The Americans have a large, but antiquated (mostly non-jet) airforce which can make enormous strikes against the Axis. By the way, Axis players may want to take my advice and stock up on AA defenses.

4. England's airforce is mostly gone now, since they have born the worst of Germany's new jet fighters. It's Paratroopers have been nominally merged w/ the Royal Marines to create ad hoc ground assault units. More on that later.

5. This is CoH? Darn, I thought it was Sparta...

My self-esteem agrees, but if I try to make everything look perfect, then I'll never finish the mod, and if I ever did, it would run at a snail's pace. Also, I'm new to modeling, so I'm still learning the ropes.

This is a little off topic but could there be a map where you play inside a huge destroyed ratte tank, It could be an infantry only mode it would be very interesting to see!

Description

Yes folks, this is not a trick, the E-50 Panzer is in game as we speak! It needs a few texture adjustments, since some parts are incorrectly sized or look wonky. The base of the turret model will also likely be widened.

Before going any further though, I would like to thank Rain and Van Adrian for their allowing me to use their Grey King Tiger Texture. I should also note that the body and turret hatch are all relic's work with some modifications by myself, Lord Wiffleby.

Now then, I do plan on maybe making another version of the tank with side skirts. However, this version was easier for the moment. I also plan on producing two other planned versions of this tank that used the same chassis.
